Guest guest
Dear Susette, Barbara et al, Slightly off topic from your question Barbara but..... Over the last few years I have been using a moon calender to garden by. First quarter: sow and plant leafy vegetables. Second quarter: sow and plant fruiting vegetables Third quarter: sow and plant perennials and things that need to put their roots down Last quarter: harvest, clean out, do pest control and weed. At each of the moon phases the moon calender recommends it is not a good time for gardening. The more I used this the more I thought about a woman's cycle and the parallels. I now cycle with the moon, ovulating when the moon is full and menstruating at new moon. Last quarter is the time to clean out emotionally and if I don't consciously PMT does it for me. Since I have worked that out and I am in tune with nature, my periods are lighter and I do not experience any cramping. I hardly know it's happening. I also see parallels between the phases of the moon and the day of rest, perhaps nature is right after all. Maybe I should say, more conscious of it. But I've been training myself for years, too. Hmmm, maybe it's coincidence but, come to think of it, I started really training myself while I was going through menopause - just after the roughest part. And mine came early - when I was just 42.
