I was looking through a book on acupoints and compiled this list of points

for menstrual irregularities...so for those interested...

 

A " cun " is the " anatomical Chinese inch " measurement. With the fingers

slightly bent, the width of the middle finger middle joint crease (on the

bottom) is 1 cun, the width of the thumb at its widest joint (nail toward

you) is 1 cun, the width of all four fingers together is 3 cun.

 

 

Stomach 25 (Tian Shu, Heavenly Pivot) - located 2 cun lateral to the

umbilicus. (irregularities)

 

Spleen 1 (Yin Bai, Hidden White) - located in the medial side of the large

toe .1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail. (irregularities)

 

Spleen 6 (San Yin Jiao, Three Yin Intersection) - located 3 cun directly

above the tip of the medial malleolus on the posterior border of the tibia.

(irregularities)

 

Spleen 8 (Di Ji, Earth's Mechanism) - located 3 cun below Lin Ying Quan (SP

9) on the line connecting Lin Ying Quan and the medial malleolus.

(amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea)

 

Spleen 9 (Lin Ying Quan, Yin Mound Spring) - located in the depression below

the inferior border of the medial epicondyle of the tibia. (irregularities)

 

Spleen 10 (Xue Hai, Sea of Blood) - located 2 cun above the medial superior

border of the patella when the knee is flexed. (irregularities, amenorrhea)

 

Bladder 23 (Shen Shu, Kidney Shu) - located 1.5 cun lateral to the lower

border of the spinous process of T12. (irregularities)

 

Bladder 31 (Shang Liao, Upper Bone-hole) - located in the depression

directly over the first sacral foramen. (irregularities)

 

Kidney 6 (Zhao Hai, Shining Sea) - located in the depression directly below

the medial malleolus opposite to Shen Mai (directly below the tip of the

external malleolus). (irregularities)

 

Liver 1 (Da Dun, Large Pile) - located on the lateral side of the large toe

..1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail. (amenorrhea)

 

Liver 2 (Xing Jian, Moving Between) - located on the dorsum of the foot

between the 2nd and 3rd toes, .5 cun proximal to the margin of the web.

(irregularities)

 

Liver 3 (Tai Chong, Great Surge) - located on the dorsum of the foot between

the 1st and 2nd metatarsal, 1.5 cun proximal to the margin of the web.

(dysmenorrhea)

 

Liver 5 (Li Gou, Woodworm Canal) - located 5 cun above the medial malleolus

in the groove on the medial border of the tibia. (irregularities)

 

Liver 8 (Qu Quan, Spring at the Bend) - located in the depression on the

medial side of the transverse popliteal fossa (with the leg flexed).

(regulates menstruation)

 

Governor 3 (Yao Yang Guan, Lumbar Yang Pass) - located inferior to the

spinous process of L4. (irregularities)

 

Conception 3 (Zhong Ji, Central Pole) - located 4 cun below the umbilicus on

the midline of the lower abdomen. (irregularities, profuse menstruation)

 

Conception 4 (Guan Yuan, Origin Pass) - located 3 cun below the umbilicus on

the midline. (irregularities, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea)

 

Conception 6 (Qi Hai, Sea of Qi) - located 1.5 cun below the umbilicus on

the midline. (irregularities, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea)

 

Zi Gong-Infant's Palace - located 3 cun lateral to Conception 3 or 4 cun

below the umbilicus. (irregularities, ovarian pain, ovarian cysts)
