Guest guest
Hi Kathrin - I don't know what selzer does to the body, although I do know that drinks with caffeine use up water to digest. What I am wondering, though, is what he's doing for salt. The salt in our bodies is what helps them absorb and retain water. If he eats regular processed table salt like most of us do, his body probably lacks the part of salt that holds onto water. Regular, processed salt retains only two of the 80+ components that sea salt provides (and that our bodies need for optimum health): Sodium and chloride. With only those two, half our body systems don't work properly, and many of us get sodium or chloride poisoning. Sea salt carries within it, natural balancers to help our bodies retain the right amount of water, plus release any excess of the two chemicals above. If he wants to start using sea salt, he should look for one that is sun-dried, contains as many mineral/trace metal components as possible, and is light grey in color (indicating that it retains moisture and has not been bleached). Good sea salt takes the shape of tiny crystals, so look for that, too. Hope this helps - Susette
Guest guest
Hello Susette, Thanks for the ideas. He has thought about whether his body needs salt. We use LIma sea salt but don't eat lots of salty dishes or anything. I'm just not sure. I just feel that somehow his body doesn't hold it well and I think that drinking all the seltzer is somehow not helping at all . I might be wrong but that's my intuition. I just wish I could find the info about that to pass on because he drinks a couple of gallons of it a day and it doesn't help him. Happy New Year, Kathrin
Guest guest
Excess thirst is a sign of diabetes, I hope he gets checked out thoroughly. It's not normal to be that thirsty even after drinking so much water. --- Susette Horspool <susinv wrote: > Hi Kathrin - I don't know what selzer does to the > body, although I do know > that drinks with caffeine use up water to digest. > What I am wondering, > though, is what he's doing for salt.
