Guest guest
Dear Bodymind group: I just received a book on Tai Chi the other day (for Christmas) by Bob Klein called " Movements of Magic, " and about dropped my jaw to the floor as he began to discuss the Bodymind. He asks: " Don't you trust yourself? Don't you trust that you are a good human being who, if allowed to do whatever you wished, would do positive and loving things? What lies have you fallen for? Have they frightened you into believing there is a monster within you? It is not a monster. It is BodyMind, your own true self. BodyMind is the artist within you, the true creator and apprentice of Nature herself. " Looking at my self as a BodyMind rather than a body with a mind has caused some interesting shifts in my perception. Meditation now takes on a deeper and fuller dimension as I allow my awareness to travel in and around and through my body fluidy rather than held captive in my head. My Qigung form feels more connected as I can feel breath, Energy and MOTION my E MOTION circulate both within and outside my body - and in certain real special moments I can literally dance on the energy of the movements. Excellent choice of names for this group. Karl

Karl, now try the third part of the trinity, Body/Mind/Spirit, and notice the perception shift again. love, Rusty Karl La Rowe <lkarl Tuesday, January 02, 2001 4:01 AM Movements of Magic >Dear Bodymind group: > >I just received a book on Tai Chi the other day (for Christmas) by >Bob Klein called " Movements of Magic, " and about dropped my jaw to >the floor as he began to discuss the Bodymind. Guest guest
Hi, Karl, Bodymind is the term used by Chinese Taoist practice, and also in martial arts. If you ever watch Chinese movie on martial art practice, you may notice the standing, or sitting still, they are trying to reach the 'body-mind' state. regards max - " Karl La Rowe " <lkarl Tuesday, January 02, 2001 8:02 PM Movements of Magic > Dear Bodymind group: > > I just received a book on Tai Chi the other day (for Christmas) by > Bob Klein called " Movements of Magic, " and about dropped my jaw to > the floor as he began to discuss the Bodymind.
