Guest guest
Esther - I, too, have heard that a good TM teacher is necessary to learn to meditate properly. Not having done it that way, I cannot verify. However, I feel comfortable with the way I did it, because I read extensively and followed Inner Guidance most of the time. In order to feel complete and safe, though, it might be better to do it under the tutelage of a master. I'm doing that now with Druid studies. Even though I have done most of the work piecemeal already, the formal study has an order to it that I find refreshing. I also feel more confident that I'm not missing anything or about to do something with drastic ill consequences. Somehow, the comparison between studying with Inner Guidance and then studying a prescribed human program is giving me increased confidence in Inner Guidance, which is good too. Another thing I've heard about learning meditation under a master is that some forms of meditation are designed to open up kundalini energy. That can be scary for some people if they don't know what is happening. I already knew before it happened with me (because of stuff I'd read) so I wasn't shocked or scared, just excited. But if kundalini rises before someone is ready (and masters know how to tell when someone is ready), then it can cause all sorts of physical reactions that may not be pleasant. Wish I could help you with finding a teacher. Warm regards - Susette ,I HEAR THERES A BOOK OUT TOO.I WAS TOLD YOU NEED TO LEARN IT BY AN OFFICIAL TEACHER ,IS THAT RIGHT?THANKS FOR RESPONDING!
