Guest guest
This is for anyone interested in Kundalini experience. I think I may have had one and any feedback (supportive or not) would be appreciated. The reason I suspect it may have been kundalini is because, when I was trying to make some sense of my experience, I was reading Copper's Encyclopedia of Symbols and several times (maybe 12) the book opened and my eyes fell on " kundalini. " Having never heard of this before, I ignored it until it became so synchronistic that I read the defintion, " energy that is released from the spine. " I had a strong gut reaction to this definition since my experience was connected to multiple tumors being removed from my spine. The recovery period was long and very stressful. I wondered if the tumors may have blocked my kundalini energy. Along with my experience, which I share in the following verse, I had several weeks of intense synchronistic experiences that confirmed my experience. It is very difficult to put into words. I have tried several times to communicate this to others but I never felt satisfied. I even believe I might have a " book in me somewhere " as the experience grew and combined with other significant experiences/symbols in my life. At times it takes on a life of it's own and, then, it will settle down again. My experience: At-one-ment Feelings of a growing, surrounding pregnancy have been steadily engulfing me, surrounding me for months, maybe even years It forms me to Itself At the same time it calls me out of myself, calls me to break open my shell of protection against what? fear of the unknown? fear of trust in the adventure? But, it continually calls, continually invites, gently molding me to fit the call. A bursting-in! the interruption of another dimension of reality! Or which is really reality? the dimension of time and space as we know it? or this other dimension that we are aware of? the one that is growing most real all the time that has been taking over more and more But, to put words to It is to define it and It won't be defined It recedes as you try to describe It Any activity interferes with It's development. It's total passivity---a total gifting into consciousness Silent! Colorless! or, at least, neutral but, beautiful! Like a colorless kaleidoscope! There seems to be space or, at least, dimension but, either all time at once or no time I'm not sure! Butterflies! Seeds! Dying! But within the tree Itself---! The kernel that needs to die is within the plant Itself The plant exists before the kernel erupts! How can that be? It's like a crescendo building within me I feel I could better understand music now! Creation must be filled with music! I have more questions than I have answers. I have a sense that eventually I will connect with other people who have different pieces of this puzzle and, then, there will be movement---maybe in a concrete way. Part of the experience involved a vision of a healing center. Any feedback would be welcomed. I am a Pastoral Counselor and have worked in the Mental Health field. This does not seem to have the characteristics of an hallucination. It may be a mystical experience. It may be a kundalini experience. I don't know. It is very ineffable. I look forward to your responses. Celeste
Guest guest
Dear Joel, Thank you for your response. I inadvertently deleted your message re: my experience. Sorry. I'd love to hear more about your friend's experience, especially about the healing center and any other information you might have. This has been a 20+ yr search for me and connections have been made very synchronistically or not at all. Thanks. Celeste
Guest guest
The book ' Kundalini - The Evolutionary energy in Man ' by Gopi Krishna, with psychological commentary by James Hillman, is a good account in detail, on the whole kundalini rising experience. Print by Shambala. I also have some 'near' experience, but I aborted the meditation. max - <Anukki Thursday, January 04, 2001 10:56 PM Kundalini > susinv writes: > > > some forms of meditation are designed to open up kundalini energy. Guest guest
It seems to me that the most frequent reply to queries is, " We already talked about that. See the archives. " Well, if I wanted to do research, there are libraries, yes? I want the living breathing forum where I can be stoopid and ask and reveal my ignorance (one of my more endearing qualities) and *discuss* stuff! And for those of you who said it all already and don't want to rehash, there is our old friend the delete key. Anyway... about Kundalini. If it makes a person more like Barbara Neebel Meier, then I am all for it. She impressed me mightily the time I was a guest in her home. Barbara, I miss you. Sending warm hugs, not that you need them, but that I like sending them to one so warm already. Anukki www.AnniesHands.com

Please come back again and again. It is great to reconnect with you via this forum. Thanks for the very welcome HUGS. To all of you, I have one more comment about Kundalini explaining why I hesitate to comment much more as opposed to refer to you other sources. REASON ... It is a HUGE topic! Too big for me to do justice to and I am not adequately qualified. My BREATH teacher, Andy Caponigro, is from the Sydha Yoga lineage which is under the guidance of Guru Mai (sp??). Andy talked / cautioned about Kundalini for the 5 years I studied under him. He advised that we only seek Kundalini activation when under the guidance of a qualified master. This caused me to be curious but not enough to seek a Guru ... Don't know of many/any in Iowa ... not attracted to the Guru concept ... etc. @ years ago a colleague told me of her personal Kundalini experience while attending a Breath workshop 15 years ago. I took notice once again. Her experiences were very frightening to her and mildly disabling for a time. The workshop facilitator was not equipped to manage the experience and so all was not as good as it might have been. It was traumatic for my colleague Since I teach very deep breath work and other energy therapies I felt it important to prepare myself on behalf of my students should I ever find myself in a similar situation. I began reading and read what I could find including literature from the Sydha Yoga Foundation as well as the book about Gopi Krishna. I learned through this reading once again that Kundalini deserves great respect. Eventually an opportunity to explore Kundalini with a teacher (not a guru) came my way via Tummo Reiki. A a Reiki master I was attracted because of the Reiki connection. I do not feel qualified to yet to " explain " much more. I am a student and appreciative. My teacher, Mr. Irmansyah Effendi, will be coming to the USA (Decorah, IA) from Indonesia on February 3-4, 2001 to teach Tummo Reiki Levels I and II. I am so looking forward to his teachings. All that I have learned so far about Tummo Reiki has been through distance attunements and internet correspondence. I have benefited so very much from this process. I have gone through Level IIIa. My understanding o f distance healing is 10 fold what it was prior to this experience, even as a Reiki Master. I now feel very blessed that I will have the further opportunity to learn directly, one on one, and deepen my understanding even more. I will share more with you all after his visit. He can accept more students if anyone is interested. You all are welcome to attend his teachings. If you are interested please contact me directly for more details. Again, I have no personal financial gain, I am simply hosting him to come to the USA to share his teachings here. He has thousands of students in Indonesia. Lodging will be FREE at Windemere (my school) and will be sleeping bags/blankets on futon mattresses, or on top of massage tables or on the floor type of lodging. No shower, just bathrooms with sinks for washing up. Kitchenette facilities for minor food prep or nearby restaurants. Hopefully this will be his first of many visits to the USA to teach. He was educated in the USA (in California) and speaks English well. I could go on and on but no more time to spare ... From Love, Barbara Neebel Meier
Guest guest
Kundalini is appropriate from my point of view. You might be interested in a book called, " Kundalini---Transcendence or Psychosis " . As I remember, it doesn't come any definitive conclusions but does wrestle with the issue. Good reading. Guest guest
I agree---research is not interaction. Each have their place. I, too, am looking for interaction. Celeste

Guest guest
I said, I did not want a book. Give me a two liner of the material message. Then, I will decide if a book purchase is warranted. My friend is a Healing Touch practitioner and was responsibile for founding one healing center (Holistic Alliance in St. Joseph, Michigan) that includes a fairly wide variety of complementary health providers (acupuncture, holistic medicine, hypnotherapy, and a variety of bodywork). Her vision is to have a facility with enough acreage to provide room for workshops, retreats, spiritual healings, and both alopathic and complementary medicine. Send me email offlist if you would like me to connect you with her directly. -- ------------------ Joel P.
