Guest guest
Dear Linda, I would love to brainstorm/network about healing centers. I, too, believe that we could encourage each other. My image is for a building--- primarily in the form of a mandala that would be sacred space that, in itself, would contribute to the healing process. I see it as multitherapeutic---counseling, bodywork, natural therapies, spiritual direction, etc. that would work closely with western medicine and attempt to bridge a gap. I am a pastoral psychotherapist with a strong orientation to Jungian thought although not limited to it. I am also pursuing an interest in Psychosynthesis at the present. An integrative, inclusive approach would be what I would want the center to be about. Beyond that, it has not been defined. I would expect that others' input would be necessary for that to develop. I feel that I have a piece of the puzzle but that others also have a piece and that we need to find each other to put it all together. I am interested in learning of others' ideas and experiences, successes and pitfalls. Thanks for the suggestion. Celeste
Guest guest
What do you suggest? I'm open. Let me think about it though because the networking could also be very important. What part of the country are you located? I'm in the Chicago area. Celeste
Guest guest
It is a little far but we can communicate on the web. Good luck to your endeavors. Celeste
Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I just joined this list and have been reading about others' interests in building healing centers. I am also at the beginning stages of creating a center and would love to know if Celeste and Arleen (and anyone else interested) would like to brainstorm together and offer each other support and ideas for each of our visions. I am a Naturopathic Doctor and want to combine plant medicine healing with many other forms of natural therapies. I think we could motivate one another, provide resources, and help each other through the obstacles. Feel free to write me. I hope to join in the conversations on other topics as my time permits. This seems like a great group. Linda Ryan, N.D., Ph.D. " DrNature "

Guest guest
Hi Celeste, I'm wondering if maybe we should talk offlist so that we can go into great detail about our plans. I'm not trying to divide the group (especially since I just started!) but I wanted to talk in depth and thought it might take up too much of the group's time. I was thinking of going over all the little details (what to name it, what equipment we'd buy, etc.) and then maybe posting to Bodymind occasionally about our progress. What do you and the rest of the group think? Dr. Linda Ryan celeste m sullivan wrote: > Dear Linda, > > I would love to brainstorm/network about healing centers. Guest guest
I'd love to hear updates if you guys take this off-list. I'm interested in potentially starting a healing center in a few years, I'm nowhere near ready at this point in my life though, so learning from your thought-process/experience would be great. -Carla Hi Celeste, I'm wondering if maybe we should talk offlist so that we can go into great detail about our plans. Guest guest
Carla, You are welcome to join in our discussions. We only took them off the list because we are talking about the ideas in great detail. Already I am finding it very inspiring to talk with like-minded individuals.
