Hi Folks:

 

This primarily affects people who use MS Outlook. However, if you see this

particular file coming in, delete it without opening it and there should be no

problem. FYI, never set your browser to automatically open any attachments. Mani

got this worm file several times yesterday at his job from other folks at his

business, and it was reported on the news in Boston last night. It is very fast

spreading, but does not seem to be intrinsically destructive to your computer,

only replicative email, like Melissa. A VBS is a Visual Basic Strip file.

 

The damage control team at Alcatel, where Mani is consulting, is exploring the

file for any possible damage, but check your virus software and visit the ZDNet,

CNet or Symantec page for further info.

Be on alert for ANNAKOURNIKOVA.JPEG.VBS. This e-mail contains a nasty worm

program. It enters through Outlook and sends itself to everyone on your address

book.
