Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Welcome back! Thank you for responding to my search re: kundalini experience. I am not familiar with Dr. Hason but I am familiar with the work of Kenneth Ring and can relate easily to it. I am convinced that all these things tie together and can be very healthy, life-changing experiences. It was for me. It can also be lonely as it is difficult to find others that you have credibility with. Of course, as with everything, discernment is necessary as there can be unhealthy counterfeit experiences, as well. This is no excuse for discounting the real thing, though, which has been done in our 'enlightened' society. I do find that more and more people are more and more open to the truly spiritual rather than the merely religious. Please don't misunderstand me---the religious should incorporate the truly spiritual and, when it does, it's a wonderful marriage. Sad to say, it isn't always so. When you find it, it is a wonderful community experience. This site has been full of affirmations and opportunities for me to connect with others of a similar orientation. Glad to have you with us. Are you familiar with an organization called, IANDS (International Association of Near-Death Studies). You might find them interesting. I did. Peace, Celeste
Guest guest
Re: Digest Nu;mber 542 Greetings everyone, I have been rather silent these past few months due to finishing my 3B Healing Touch and getting ready for certification (March 1st), then deciding to hold off on Certification until September which proved to be good guidance due to the work involved. In response to Celeste wondering if she had a Kundalini experience I wanted to share the following: There is a very comprehensive book out written by Yvonne Kason, M.D. titled FARTHER SHORES. In it Dr. Kason explores how near-death, kundalini and mystical experiences can transform ordinary lives. She has experienced all of the above and has written about her experiences in great detail and has done research for herself when these incidents occurred in her life. She is presently seeing only patients who have had what she calls an STE (spritually transforming experience(s) in her practice where she works strictly as a psychotherapist now (transpersonal/Gestalt). In her book she details what one experiences during a Kundalini episode/experience. Prior to his death I believe she worked/studied with Gopi Krishna one of the most famous writers on the subject of Kundalini Awakening. Together with Kenneth Ring, PH.D, Professor Emeritus of Psychology, U of Conn., author of Heading Toward Omega and Lessons from the Light, and other notable professionals formed The Spiritual Emergence Network. Dr. Kason practices in Canada, I am sure you can get her book from any book store - ISBN #0-00-638624-5. If you are interest I could type excerpts from her book on Kundalini. What this brave woman is doing and has done according to Family Practice Magazine, is 'build a bridge between the scientific and the spiritual, a bridge physicians will feel comfortable crossing. " Now doctors won't think we are all crazy. I introduced my physician to this book and I am sure it has blown is mind wide open!!!
