Come together for wine, food, networking and comaraderie at this informal

gathering of listees and other Bay Area bodyworkers. The food is good and

the prices are decent.

 

Tentative Place: Spats Restaurant, 1974 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley CA . Spats

is on the west side of Shattuck, in the first block north of University Ave.

To reserve the room in the rear of the restaurant a $200 tab must be

guaranteed . The room is reserved. If it appears there will not be enough

folk, the reservation will be cancelled and we will gather in the restaurant

in the front of Spats.

 

RSVP with a check for $10 made payable to Robert Flammia, PO Box 459,

Berkeley CA, 94701. Your $10 will be returned at Spats. Your $10 will be

applied to the tab if you are a no show. If you have attended and have not

flaked on a prior commitment, an e-mail RSVP will suffice. Your early

Hey, Rev, would you be able to circulate info on a 2 evening chair massage

workshop I'm co-leading to bodyworkers on email list for our networking

dinners? If you can, the details are below.

 

2 EVENING CHAIR MASSAGE CLASS

 

Chair massage class will cover hands on basics of a15 minute sequence and

techniques, variation of chairs, differences in client and practitioner size,

managing time, demands of different settings, red flags, how to determine

appropriate level of pressure, additional options for longer massages. I'm

making the class very affordable and I think it will have much to offer

someone who has previously taken a chair massage workshop.

 

Wednesday Mar. 28 and Monday Apr. 2.

Time: 7pm to 10pm

Location: 70 Yosemite Ave., Oakland

Costs: $80 for both evenings, $70 if signing up with another person.

Bring: your massage chair if you have one.

Directions: From 580 East exit Oakland Ave/Harrison. Stay left and turn left

on Oakland Ave(cross under freeway). Make immediate left at stop light onto

MacArthur Blvd. Proceed 3 blocks and make a right onto Piedmont Ave.(Shell

Station). Make right onto Yosemite. Yosemite is the first intersection and it

is only 1 block long.

 

Instructors: Chuckie Fong and Candace Besso combine 13 years of chair massage

experience. Chuckie has received instruction and certification from the Amma

Institute(San Francisco) and Alive & Well(San Anselmo).Candace has been

certified and has taught at the McKinnnon Institute(Oakland)
