Guest guest
dear friends i'de like to ask for your opinion in this matter: Last wendsday a tiny piece of wood entered my finger. i susceeded to pull part of it but a tinchy-pinchy piece about a milimeter - was very deep and could not take it away. signs of small infection (redness)around it appeared so after 3 days i went to the clinic. they injected analgetics digged inside - and finally found the tiny little wood. the doctor told me to put some antibiotic ointment on the wound and around - so it won't be infected - so i bought the ointment but afraid to touch it. I never touch allop[hatic medicines now the cut is healing but there are still signs of redness, little swelling and palpitations. people around frighten me and tell me to put the antibiotic topically. i put once or twice and then doubts are starting so i wiped it away. i feel it is a question of fear vs. faith . what is your opinion in this matter? would you put the antibiotic or let nature cure the wound? do you have any suggestion how to cure the wound elegantly without using antibiotics (mind over matter) or homeopathy? herbs etc? thank you in advance Anat - Felix Amore <felixamore éåí ùðé 19 îøõ 2001 10:36 Re: Remedies for stress please > , reiki13 wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > > > I need help in helping my husband to deal with his stress. > > Greetings, > My apologies of this posts twice (hotmail is not being very > cooperative with delivery today so I came to the group site itself to > post it again). > > In the past, my wife has used two different things to aid her in > dealing with the challenges of 7 kids - and me :-)! > > One is an herbal formula called Tranquilon with Kava Kava and the > other is an essential oil called " Peace and Calming " which she > applies to the the pulse points as well as to her forehead and > temples. > > These two work wonders for her! > > Hope this helps... > > Magical thoughts, > Jim McPherson > P.S. Guest guest
Greetings Anat, You can assist the body's own healing capability by using some hydrogen peroxide solution. If you have access to 35% H2O2, dilute it down by using one part H2O2 to 10 parts distilled water. If not, the store variety of 3% will be a good substitute. Also, find yourself an aloe vera plant, cut open a leaf and scrape the gel off the inside of the outer rind. Put a little bit of the gel on a bandaid and wrap your finger. Most of the " aloe " products in the store are of questionable concentration of MPS and have too many adulterating ingredients. Also, send your finger lots of love and see it as being " healed " . I believe in the muti-faceted approach. Hope this helps... Guest guest
Anat: You have already allowed someone to do something medical by digging in your finger rather than allowing your body to expel or absorb the splinter ;-) If you are really concerned about the antibiotics (and there is no reason to be, in reality... remember that " fear " thing... false evidence appearing real) then try soaking your finger in epsom salt water as hot as you can stand it (not boiling, please) a couple of times a day and that should " pull " the inflammation out. Redness and tenderness do not necessarily mean infection; the body has natural reasons for producing inflammation. If you see pus, however, that is more of a concern, as the body has sent out its little white blood cell soldiers to the area and they are dying to defend you. That is basically what pus is, those tiny white knights and their vanquished foes. I stepped on a cactus once as a teenager, and still have the thorn in my foot. It never came out. I have heard similar things from people regarding graphite pencil points and splinters. Do not worry; if you keep the area clean and dry since the wood has been removed, there is little to be concerned about. It is not as if it was a rusty nail or the floorboard from a privy, eh? While overuse of allopathic remedies may cause problems, please remember what the world was like before we had antibiotics (less than a hundred years ago!)... many people died of common ailments that can be taken care of by careful antibiotic treatment now (such as tuberculosis, syphillis, and strep throat). The reason antibiotics are a problem is not that they are inherently bad, but that they have been misused, both by overprescription and by people not taking the full course of antibiotics, leading to resistant strains of bacteria. Western Medicine is not the evil boogyman. You have to weigh the alternatives, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, okay? Guest guest
dear Harri thank you. you are right - i have a tendency to be over stressed, to loose common-sense & to exagerate. I do yoga but i manage well the asanas only. in the relaxing stage (shavasana?) it is very difficult to let go - to loose the grip - how did you manage to become more relaxed?
