Guest guest
Dear Linda this connection between having goals+complete heaLTH sounds right to me. is there any tool to help you find what excites you? I know this sound silly... because you have to feel it yourself but there are times when you suscce in acomplishing your goals (you usually do if the desire is strong) and then you feel empty at a suddden - and then i feel bad... and i have to invent new goals... sometimes they are artificial... can you understand this and advise? thanks Anat - drnature <drnature éåí øáéòé 28 îøõ 2001 08:19 Re: Re: fear - was seeking protection > > > > to Linda dr.nature > > > > i recall one of your recent post where you said that > > Knowing your goals or having goals is a pre-condition to full health > > (this was the idea as i understood you) > > can you explain this more please? > > Anat > > Hi Anat, > > I'm just getting to my mails, I hope to catch up on the wonderful discussions going on. Guest guest
Anat, Yes I can understand what you're saying completely! Basically, if we don't know our life purpose, which is based on our intrinsic personality and several other factors, we go from goal to goal in a directionless fashion, hoping that each one will fulfill us. And the things we generally gravitate towards are ones that are fear based, because until we have clearly defined our focus in life, we operate from trying to undo our pain, or trying to fill a void. That never works. It only causes more pain and loneliness and then eventually a feeling that nothing will ever work for us. I know that once I defined for myself what I wanted to spend my time and my life doing, I would continually get into all sorts of situations that made me unhappy. Now I know whether something is what I want to spent time on, early on. I don't waste as much time anymore and don't need to 'try' to be happy in all the gimmicky ways I was taught that never seemed to work. Helping others find their own Life Purpose is my passion now! One of the main reasons is that I think part why there is so much negativity in this world is that people have all this extra free time for conflicts and strife because they don't yet know where they'd rather focus their time.
