Guest guest
Hi Audrey: Here you go: http://sleepdisorders.about.com http://www.talkaboutsleep.com http://www.awake.com http://www.sleepedu.net There are others you can find by doing a search at http://www.google.com for sleep disorders (thousands) but these sites are fairly good and have links to other recommended sites as well. I belong to two discussion/support groups at for sleep apnea; one is cpapusers and the other is a size accepting group that discusses alternatives to weight loss for OSA, sa-sleepapnea (MD's love to shove the weight issue down the throat of a patient, no matter what their physical problems happen to be... one of the best responses I've heard to cut this short is to ask, " If you had a thin client who had this problem, how would you treat them? Now treat me that way. " ) Children most definitely have sleep disorders; apnea is one of the causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). It's a lucky thing for a person to have someone observing their sleep with enough concern to intervene for them before they develop other problems. For people with CFS or FMS who also have sleep apnea, here is an interesting site on Chiari Malformation that was passed to one of the groups I am on, food for thought although I'm not too certain I'd want to have surgery on my skull :-( http://www.nfra.net/ChiarMal.htm Hope these are helpful for you.
