Guest guest
Pat: Are you talking about the email posts that read " take a look to the attachment " ? Just delete and ignore them. That person had the virus I spoke about in my email to the lists. She has resolved the problem, and none of the attachments made it through to the lists because of the list filters. Digests automatically remove attachments anyway. Re-read my post about " Badtrans " and you will understand what is going on. I am *still* occasionally getting those " hahaha " posts (another trojan), which my email filters toss in the bulk mail and hence to the trash. Remember that you can't be harmed by opening a post if you have your email set *not* to open attachments automatically. It is the attachments, not the posts, that contain the virus. And don't trust an unsolicited attachment, even if it comes from your mother. Many viruses are designed to make the post look like it is from someone you know (like this virus). Many of the weaknesses that are preyed upon lie in Microsoft programs, like Internet Explorer and Outlook, even Word. They are putting out patches all the time. Might be time to start using Linux ;-) Thanks, Caroline Pattimack wrote: > whassup?
