Does anyone on the list have enough experience with both

Reiki and Kundalini to know whether there is a difference in

the energies, and, if so, what the difference is?

Kundalini can move in the body for many different reasons, from the benign to

the

traumatic... from meditation and yoga to epiphany, application of

energy/bodywork

or trauma. It generally rises from the root to the crown, and chelates its way

through any blocks it encounters, which may be one reason that some people

experience discomfort or distress with kundalini rising. The visual of this

process is like the caduseus... the snakelike energy of Ida and Pengala rousing

at

the base and rising, intertwining around the Shushumna channel, crossing at the

energy centers (chakras). In Eastern thought, it is preferable to be

facilitated

by a teacher during the experience to enhance understanding and reduce

difficulty.

Reiki is a particular vibration of energy that has a fairly high modulation. In

general, although it is possible to encounter and align yourself with Reiki

without attunement, people are generally " introduced " to and " aligned " with

Reiki

by a Reiki Master, who sets the student's aura to unfailingly recognize it. You

are attuned from the crown down with Reiki. Although it doesn't always happen,

treatment or attunement with Reiki can stimulate kundalini rising as well.

There

is a shift in the personal energies, but there is not always a kundalini effect.

Hope this helps.

Caroline...

Thanks. I have both seen and experienced a Kundalini rush

with Reiki attunment. I do know how the energies are

described. Both, for example, are described as having

" intelligence. " Is your sense that Kundalini is associated

more with the earth (magnetic) energies and Reiki is

associated more with radiatory energies?

Are they actually separate energies, or are they different

aspects of the intelligence of the Energy?

I recently read in, Christine Northrups new book on Menapause, (she wrote

Womens wisdom, Womens bodies) she talks about the " hot flash " in manapause,

as being kundalini action. She said it was energy flowing up from the root

chakra to the heart chakra for opening. Interesting speak for a

traditionally trained gyn. I don't have the book infront of me for a direct

quote. Sorry.

love,

Connie--

According to the Northrup book, would the 'energy surge' that many women

experience after their periods and the increased energy and power some report

after menopause be due to Kundalini action?

Hi, I havn't read enough of it to know. All I gleened was she said that hot

flashes were due to kunilini energy glowing up and into the heart.

I have to get the book to find out more.
