Guest guest
Mumble mumble... Not too long ago someone was asking me for an online site for journaling, and I have finally found a really nice one. There is a program you download that sits as a pencil icon in your task tray and you can type into it like Notepad, then just click 'post' to put it up in your journal. You can choose to keep it private or just leave it public... part of the " blogging " trend, as they call it, people doing their journaling online. For the excessively geeky, the site is open source so you can help them improve it if you're inclined to coding. I have an adjunct page with information on how to start a personal journal, and the request might have come from there, but at this point I am sort of losing track of who asks me what where so I'm scattershotting this info... hope it helps somebody <LOL> The site is called Live Journal. The basic journal is free but you can pay and upgrade (I've been playing with it a couple of days and I'm upgrading, it's fun and I think it's worth paying for). My journaling page is http://www.geocities.com/nrgbalance/journal.htm
Guest guest
Crow... Did you ever try the journaling program on the Oprah site? I never have, and was wondering how it was? Peace, Karyn http://www.seekerscircle.com
Guest guest
Hi Karyn: Well, I haven't played with it yet, it's at the Oxygen site, and here is the URL: http://oprah.oxygen.com/rys/gratitude/rys_grat_journal.html I like the Oxygen site, it's full of good stuff. Speaking of which, a friend of mine is starting a group to do the " Life Makeovers " process from the book; the author is a regular guest on Oprah. I haven't read the book yet but the idea of having a circle to mentor each other through the steps (I believe it is a year long process) is attractive. I'll poke around in the Oprah journal thing in the morning when I've got more moxie :-) Crow " Karyn G. " wrote: > > Crow... > > Did you ever try the journaling program on the Oprah site? Guest guest
Hi All, Just saying thanks so much for the Oprah Journal site.I tried the journal and it seemed to have a unpersonal feeling to it.The Oprah Journal is such a warm, beautifully graphic place to record your thoughts. Blessings..
