It's a 180 degree universe

A female friend of the family recently spent some time on the telephone

" venting " [complaining - for those whose first language is not English] to my

wife about men. It made me think of some spiritual truths I've come to

believe/understand. Different sources phrase it in different ways, but the

essence of the meaning is the same:

 

IT'S A 180 DEGREE UNIVERSE

Those attitudes and actions that you put out into the universe will come back

to you.

 

AS YOU SOW, SO SHALL YOU REAP

 

YOU MANIFEST INTO REALITY

THAT WHICH YOU FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON

What's tricky about this is that the Universe does not understand negative

modifiers. Thus, if a person is living in fear of being robbed: " I don't want

to get robbed; I don't want to get robbed. " That person is likely to be

robbed because the Universe translates that as: " I want to get robbed; I want

to get robbed. " " Getting robbed " is the SUBJECT of the focus and it's that

SUBJECT that the universe brings into the person's reality.

 

You can see how this would also apply to a body disease condition: " I don't

want to get [fill in the name of a disease condition]. " That mental focus

will likely bring that disease condition into the person's personal reality.

Over two decades ago I remember hearing some advice from Forrest Shaklee

Senior - advice that really STUCK with me. It was such simple advice and yet

profound in my opinion. Since it's been so long ago that I heard this advice

I'll have to paraphrase, but I'm comfortable that the essence is there.

 

We each have a power that is uniquely ours.

That is the power to decide what thoughts we will harbor in our minds.

It's in YOUR OWN INTEREST to harbor good thoughts in your mind.

 

It wasn't until many years later, when I had started down a spiritual path

that I realized how _powerful_ Forrest Shaklee's advice was.

 

Being human, I realize that it's a lot easier to TALK about and " advise

others " concerning this 180 degree universe stuff than it is to implement in

my own life. But then if it weren't a bit of a challenge, then perhaps this

3D school would be less interesting, eh? <G>
