Guest guest
Hi all in the Group Well to introduce myself, I am Jeff Moran a Sound Therapist/Psychotherapist and Workshop Presenter from England.(sounds good hey) but basically I use whatever means at my disposal to try and show people how effective the healing power of sound/words can be. I work with Mantra and Toning and combine that with the Scientific effects of Voice Analysis,Bio-feedback, nutrition and psychotherapy as I find that a blend of science and ancient traditions works well. I was introduced to Mantra and Spiritual teachings through Buddhism, but have looked at many isms and teachings throughout my journey with Theosophy, Ascended Master teaching and many more. I try and link the body mind connection through vibration and relaxation to bring to the awareness of clients the benefits of stilling the mind and body for a while. However it always brings me back to the power of the sound, silent sound and intonation. Well I look forward to being a member of the group and if anyone would like to spark of a dialogue then that's great. Namaste Jeff Improved Learning, Increased brain co-ordination, Deep relaxation, Kids calm down, all from ONE CD. Sounds to good to be true, but its fact. Check out the " Into the HEART ZONE " CD on Jeff's site at www.soundtherapy.co.uk as you may know someone that may benefit from its use. - Wednesday, June 27, 2001 9:57 AM Digest Number 655 > **************************************** > Visit the community page: > For administrative problems -owner > To , - > > All messages, files and archives of this forum are copyright of the group and the individual authors. > ------ > > There are 11 messages in this issue. > > Topics in this digest: > > 1. Guest guest
Welcome, Jeff :-) It would be interesting to have a discussion about how sound affects us and how it can be used in therapy. We've had some fun interaction about the kind of music that makes us feel good thanks to Linda. ((This feels like " deja vu all over again " somehow. I have to apologize, I'm starting to be like my mother, who would always run through the litany of names until she hit the one for the child she was yelling at, so that I always got a " BrendaLannaCaroline " sputtered at me... didn't we just have someone introduce himself recently as doing this, sound therapy, in the UK? Hmm. Must check the archives.)) I have done some basic toning, and often use a hand chime as an assessment tool for the chakras. I have always 'looked covetously upon' the fancy sets of tuning forks in the catalogs. Mani has four Tibetan brass bowls and several bells and dorjes, which we use when we participate in a remote healing sound circle we belong to. His special wish this year is for a crystal bowl. I would be interested in hearing more about voice analysis. Blessings, Crow PS: Be a doll and take the digest off next time you post; you'll find out why when you get tomorrow's digest with the whole thing trailing your note. Guest guest
Dear Jeff: Hi, I'm connie. Nice to meet you. I went to your website, very nice, I've gotta spend more time there. I noticed that one of your C.D.'s has a crystal bowl on it. I carry these bowls and really love them. What are your thoughts about thier effectiveness? Also, Have you ever heard of a woman named Sherry Edwards in Ohio? She does sophisticated voice analysis and is a real miracle herself in what she can hear and reproduce sonically. love connie > > Hi all in the Group > > Well to introduce myself, I am Jeff Moran a Sound Therapist/Psychotherapist > and Workshop Presenter from England.(sounds good hey) but basically I use > whatever means at my disposal to try and show people how effective the > healing power of sound/words can be. > > I work with Mantra and Toning and combine that with the Scientific effects > of Voice Analysis,Bio-feedback, nutrition and psychotherapy as I find that > a blend of science and ancient > traditions works well. > > I was introduced to Mantra and Spiritual teachings through Buddhism, but > have looked at many isms and teachings throughout my journey with Theosophy, > Ascended Master teaching and many more. > > I try and link the body mind connection through vibration and relaxation to > bring to the awareness of clients the benefits of stilling the mind and body > for a while. > > However it always brings me back to the power of the sound, silent sound and > intonation. > > Well I look forward to being a member of the group and if anyone would like > to spark of a dialogue then that's great. > > Namaste > > Jeff > > Improved Learning, Increased brain co-ordination, Deep relaxation, Kids calm > down, all from ONE CD.
