Guest guest
Hi all - I've sent this to Caroline, but the list might enjoy this article. We have a cat who has epilepsy and found this article several years back and found it interesting. Feline ZuZu has unusual behavior that sometimes appears to border on spiritual or so it seems. When we found this article in the Houston Chronicle, my husband and I laughed because it appeared to show we may not be far off. We often call our yellow kitty our " little golden angel " and did before the article appeared. The cat aside, please check out the article. It is interesting to this discussion. Here is the link: http://www.parascope.com/articles/slips/fs22_3.htm Enjoy. Karen Sellars
Guest guest
I have a theory! I believe that we are truely creations of/for God. I believe that oour God created us with an in-bred mechanism, called the brain that operates our bories/instincts/impulses, for us, as we have ouw OWN individuality, that exists in our (choice-Box) called the mind, where we can make our own decisions. Working with people and horses as I do, I see the battle within the human, as being between the in-bred instincts, and the choice-box, or mind, who remembers all it's own experiences. The brain will do as it must when our minds shut down, in a DAH moment perhaps. Mental and physical conflict go on all the time with a new rider, and I have learned to teach that we must recognize the differnece between mind and brain. OKAY! I have also worked with a few mentally challenged, and their minds do not have all that same mombo jumbo that we so called ordinary folds do. The horses are not as wary of them, as someone mentally(mind) intuned. The horses are more receptive to those challenged folks, and I have grown to believe that the so-called mentally challenged may just be WAY AHEAD of us, in a way that perhaps we are afraid to admit to. They have 'something' very special, and I personally believe, it is their spiritual connection. This of course would be seemingly difficult for the mentally challenged, as they are so SPIRITUALLY in-tuned, --so 'open' and ready to receive, --but WHO could they communicate this to? The animals, and children, of course! And to those who have their own spiritual tunung fork, that will hone in on these possibilities! I have written about eliminating labels, like mental illness etc, and prefer to just let well enough alone, and to seek the individual for WHO THEY are, NOT what their (STUPID) labels imply! God lives so freely in the innocent. I 'heard' audibly, when NO ONE was around, " BE LIKE A CHILD " (at a critical time in my own search. Then, " WORRY NO MORE " . The next devastating year was a breeze, and I smiled all the year long. The God Self, or 'center' --is our 'TUNING FORK' ---to the UNIVERSE, and ALL KNOWLEDGE! At times of asking, I have heard paticuliar words, that are certainly NOT of my vocabulary, like 'scrutaneousness', as I asked about what I knoew about a nuclear power plant. I heard that word 3 seperate occassions. Then looked it up in the old websters dictionary.--(The silent rape of the people! Their being robbed of their integrity) gotta stop! Rose, --I love you all! Guest guest
I like the idea of the 'God spot' being where God exists---interesting! It makes my think of Jung's theory of the Imago Dei. Guest guest
Hi, One of my favorite Scripture passages is, " Put all your trust in the Lord and do NOT depend on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. " Proverbs 3 This is especially helpful for me because I always want to understand everything. I need to remember that that was never one of His promises! Celeste On Mon, 2 Jul 2001 17:56:39 EDT STHMBC writes: > I have a theory!
