Guest guest
A friend was diagnosed with 'advanced' lyme disease. He thought he was ill/weak from too much work the past two years. A 5 " rash from a bite led him to the doctor. The second bite over a time like this. ANY SUGGESTIONS--? He is now on antiobotics, and now well. Guest guest
Thank you for your suggestions. I will pass them along. The young man had a 'bite' with a red area, over a year ago. He has been acking in the joints & muscles, and thought it was from over-work. After the recent 2nd bite, he went to the doctor, who started it was advanced Lymes disease. That is why he has been so tired and acking, they believe. Many thanks, God Bless Rose
Guest guest
Dear Rose, I am new to the group - just been reading some of the posts & could not resist responding to this one. I am NOT a doc, nurse or other health practitioner, however, I have read up on lyme, babesia (malaria-like protazoa); and ehrlichia (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever- like rickettsia -- the two most readily tested for coinfections) extensively. The only folks I know who have been " cured " of lyme have either used a RIfe machine or a magnetic coil device. (No interest in these machines whatsoever - can be built at home for around $300 or so.) These are insiduous diseases, with many apparent long-term effects, although, the experts are not certain what is going on & why. Lyme is a real political " hot potato " - docs in the NE sector who are treating with long-term antibiotics are LOSING LICENSES to practice medicine! I know a lyme victim who was on oral antitiobics for over a year; relapsed at 90 days & just Rifed - is fully functional now. There are some supplements which can be of help - CO-Q-10 for heart, brain & nerves (lyme loves heart, brain, cartelidge, tendon sheaths); flax / evening primrose oils and/or EPA (fish oil) - again for heart, brain & nerves; olive leaf extract (natural antibiotic); high alycin (sp?) content garlic (for yeast problems which occur with antitiobics); calcium, magnesium oxide (to help rebuild muscles from wasting away); pantothetic acid - several flower essences for nerves; galvonic battery (method of feeding gold chloride to nervous system through electrodes)... Have tons of info - if you or your friend (or anyone) would like more on what we've experienced as effective, either post to list or email off list (not sure how much I should " go on " about lyme here on the list...). I can tell you that Alternative Med Magazine has guestimated that 25% of the population has lyme & doesn't even know it (can be dormant - while doing organ damage) for up to 20 years! Frequently misdiagnosed as MS, ALS, various types of cancer - see LYMEALLIANCE.ORG - superb website - explains the " Microbiology of Lyme " - a 4-part tutorial. From what I've read & been told, if your friend is going to stick it out on the antibiotics, s/he should continue treatment a few months past the last symptoms manifesting. (These bugs apparently hide in various tissue where the antitiobics are not abundant & they also mutate into a cell wall deficient form (L-cysts) - for which flagyl is frequently used. (Some believe flagyl is also beneficial for babesia, as it is a protazoa.) Don't know if it's aired yet, but Nightline is doing a segment on lyme - was supposed to aire a couple of times, but was postponed... Hope this is helpful - feel free to write if you want / need more info / websites / contacts, etc. Blessings, Chris , STHMBC@a... wrote: > A friend was diagnosed with 'advanced' lyme disease. Guest guest
Dear Rose, Oops, forgot to mention that chirporactic / osteopathic adjustments as well as acupuncture & use of a qi-gong machine were quite helpful in regaining the lyme victim's life. (THe qi-gong machine allowed relaxation for the 1st good night of rest in years!) THese diseases (BTW, according to vets / MDs / pathologists / RNs, etc. who are " lyme literate, " ANY INSECT which bites for blood, if infectecd, will transmit - including MOSQUITOES, chiggers, fleas, flies, spiders, lice...)seem to cause havoc in all the body systems - the acupuncture & Chinese herbs can be amazingly helpful in rebalancing the body.
