Guest guest
Hi All, Is there some significance to focusing directly into a person's right eye when conversing / " connecting " to them? Seems as though perhaps this may be a " NLP thing. " Thanks! Blessings, Chris

I recently heard that the right eye is the " window to the soul, " but I had always heard before that that the eyes (both of them) were the windows to the soul. In TRANCES PEOPLE LIVE, Steven Wolinsky provides an example of a therapist's looking into a client's left and right eyes alternately to separate anchors for the parts of a gestalt. I'll be interested in hearing what others have heard. -- --------------------------- Joel P. Guest guest
Actually it is a feline thing. Ever watch a cat stare down its enemy? Or if it realizes you are the one in charge, how it will blink when it looks at you or if it is in trouble, it will stare at you then look away? If it doesn't recognize you as top cat it will stare you down. You can learn a lot from looking into a person's eye. It shows a level of confidence as well as can sometimes indicate a hint if a person is lying or telling the truth or perhaps just toying with you. Guest guest
Hi Joel & Chris. Does this question have anything to do with the intuitive levels of the one looking, and 'TO' the one looked AT, for processing of the right or left brain 'stuff'? Add this element to the question. Any thoughts. Does the 'intuitive' ---know, to help 'balance' right & left brain for/to the client? Rose

Guest guest
Dear Chris: One of the reasons in NLP that they look in your eyes is to check to see if your pupils dialate when you are thinking something emotional. It's like a tiny feedback device. They also check to see if your skin tone changes etc. They are watching for entry into altered or trance states as well as for anxiety etc. love connie > Dobelovr11 > > Thu, 19 Jul 2001 04:25:23 -0000 > > NLP question > > Hi All, > > Is there some significance to focusing directly into a person's right > eye when conversing / " connecting " to them?
