Guest guest
Chris: Photoreading is WONDERFUL! My husband, Rick, uses it whenever he is reading technical material. I've seen him pick up a book he photoread years ago and immediately turn to the page he is looking for. He also assigns it to his Psychology students. Most come back and tell him that it is one of the most important study skills they have ever learned...and the improvement in their test scores can be quite dramatic. I think the book is available almost anywhere for only a few dollars. There is also a complete course on tape (all of which is floating around the web on MP3) and trainings given throughout the country by instructors trained by the Learning Strategies Co. (the creators of the Photoreading system). I don't think that the trainings are necessary. They're also quite expensive. You can teach yourself everything you need from the paperback. The key is to practice and not to expect miracles immediately. There are simple steps which must be followed...previewing and activation are essential. However, once you've become comfortable with the system, you will find yourself taking in whole pages in seconds, and remembering more information than you thought possible! I'd better either stop raving about this or go out and buy some stock in the company. Florie Gray There ain't no answer. There ain't going to be any answer. There never has been an answer. That's the answer .. -----Gertrude Stein - Dobelovr11 Sunday, July 15, 2001 11:24 PM PhotoReading Hi All, Wondering if anyone has knowledge / experience with this system of super learning? Thanks! Guest guest
Dear Florie, Thanks for the informative & encouraging answer! I wondered whether there would be a huge difference in taking the class & the home study program - thanks for answering that too! (VBG!)
