LOL... well, Jimmy, welcome to the baptism of fire.

 

Now that we've chewed you a new heinie hole and you've prostrated yourself

in all directions, I suppose I can offer a little comment or two about this

whole thing.

 

Because of the prevalence of SPAM on the Net, I am pretty careful what

passes the portals here; we don't screen entering members and I try to

maintain a modicum of decorum in discussion and keep things on topic with

mind-body awareness.

 

Caroline Myss and her work have long been interests of mine, as well as many

of the members here. Michelle, one of our members, moderates a forum at her

website, and she is prominently mentioned in our list description as a topic

for discussion.

 

So a faux pas in here, especially regarding something related to Caroline,

is not likely to be overlooked for long ;-) I am glad that you made an

effort to clearly explain your thought processes regarding this and that you

meant no slight to any particular age group. I think that if there was that

intention, you would be able to see, from our reaction, that it would be

unacceptable in the extreme.

 

To paraphrase Kathy Bates in " Fried Green Tomatoes " , we're older and we've

got more attitude! We know how to write letters and make phone calls, and

we're not ashamed to do it, either ;-) So thanks for your clarification, and

we wish Caroline all the luck in the world in her new project.

You have been so kind through this .... and I am so glad that we have been

able to correct this!

 

The ironic part of all of this - I LEFT my position at MTV - in part because

of the overwhelming " ageist " attitude there. So when I was actually accused

of the same thing - well - you could have knocked me over w/ a feather

yesterday when I realized what was going on! I would NEVER participate in

any show that excluded any age in a show that is clearly for everyone !

 

I hope that I will be permitted to invite your group to tapings of the actual

show - we start taping the episodes here in NYC in October !

 

Again - thank you for your kindness....Looking forward to meeting you someday

- maybe for a taping of one of Caroline's shows??
