One of the books I'm reading this year is _Vibrational Medicine for the 21st

Century_ by Richard Gerber, M.D. This book is copyrighted for the year 2000.

He also wrote an earlier book titled simply _Vibrational Medicine_ several

years ago. That book was intended for people with a medical school education.

Without a medical education myself, I STRUGGLED through it <grin> but felt

the effort was worthwhile.

From chapter 3 of his latter book on page 88 I copied the following excerpt.

I hope you find it interesting and perhaps thought-provoking.

" When scientists at the HeartMath Institute analyzed the moment-to-moment

variability in heart rate using special computer programs, they found unique

patterns that correlated with different states of consciousness and emotional

feelings. When people were experiencing discordant, chaotic emotions of anger

and frustration, their heartbeat-frequency patterns were also chaotic,

incoherent, and disorganized-looking. In contrast, test subjects experiencing

feelings of love, compassionate caring, and an appreciation for life produced

a coherent heart-frequency pattern that looked like a mathematically regular

oscillating sine wave. In other words, the presence of loving, compassionate

states of feeling in the heart area actually produced measurable changes in

the electrical activity of the heart. "

I can't give you a valid opinion on the complete book yet as I am no where

near through it. I can tell you that I'm enjoying what I've read so far. As

you'd guess, the subject matter of the book definitely falls into the domain

of what would be called alternative medicine. If you'd like to see what other

people think of the book, I'd suggest visiting www.amazon.com.

Time is a great healer.

That's why they make you wait so long in a doctor's office.

Rich,

You would probably enjoy reading The Heartmath Solution, which

describes the ideas behind this quote in much detail. It's a fascinating

book. I have the computer program they mention (biofeedback

software) - which records your 'coherence' and goes into the concept

of entrainment. If it's something you can afford, it's worth getting.

Rich: If you like the output from heartmath you will love Dr. Paul

Purcell's, " The Heart's Code " .
