Has anyone read Carol Lee Flinders book " At the Root

of this Longing-- reconciling a spiritual hunger and a

feminist thirst-- " She also wrote Enduring Grace about

the Catholic Mystics like Teresa of Avila. It is such

a great book. She explain's the story of Draupadi in

the Mahabharata and Hinduism's respect for the

complexity of the divine mother. It sure seems

relevant right now when women are being kept in rooms

with blackened windows in Afghanistan.
