Oh, Kate, I forgot the most important link. A good primer of questions to work through to uncover the messages your body is sending you is Debbie Shapiro's " Language of Illness " : http://205.253.22.104/board/Noncgi/Forum4/HTML/000177.html Best wishes, MichelleH

The website has changed and I forgot to check/update my links. Guest guest
Kate: I was glad to see all the wonderful and helpful info come from Michelle (thanks, M!) Sounds like you have a couple of things going on right now, and I might suggest the chakra information that you could consider would be the root (bone marrow, red blood cell/hemoglobin production) and the heart (circulation and respiratory implications of anemia/hemoglobin). http://www.geocities.com/nrgbalance/heart.html http://www.geocities.com/nrgbalance/root.html What is anemia saying to you? Well, that depends on what kind of anemia you have. If it is a hemoglobin production problem, iron deficiency, or something related to side effects of medications or treatments. Do you know what kind you have? Loosely, what anemia means is that the portion of your blood that carries oxygen around to your tissues is unable for some reason to do that efficiently. So your tissues are starving for air. This usually feels like listlessness, tiredness. There can be a rapid heartbeat and syncope, or fainting. You may notice that your gums or nailbeds are pale (it's the oxygen in the hemoglobin that makes your skin pink). Besides the medical and dietary interventions you will no doubt have begun (and be careful, just because a dietary item is high in iron does not mean it is bioavailable), you can do an emotional exploration of what this might mean. You may well have touched on something when you wondered if your candida might be related; often candida erupts when you are having trouble feeling worthy, assimilating the " sweetness " in life. If this is coupled with personal attention from someone that you feel you don't deserve or that feels restrictive, you may feel " smothered " , which your body could translate as anemia. In addition, candida is a living organism, and subliminally you may have been conducting a dialogue with it in order to free your body from its negative effects; if it feels it is being smothered, you may have empathetically connected with that on some level. These are just a couple of ideas to consider. If they resonate for you, you might want to do some heart work. In other words, exploring self love and forgiveness. It wouldn't hurt to make sure you are well grounded, so that you feel safe and productive. Guest guest
Christchurch, New Zealand. We have an excellent library. Guest guest
As always Crow, thank you. :) Everything you say is so true for me. And, I brought myself TWO pairs of red shoes about 2 months ago. I suspect the anaemia is from my menstrual cycle, not so much from the candida. But you are right about the self love and self forgiveness. I left my husband nearly 2 years ago after 15 years of marriage. And for another man. Long story. My head tells me I did it for the right reasons, I suspect my body feels something different. Im good at subconscious self punishment. I want to look deeper into this. And, you've blown me away about connecting with the candida and empathising with its problem. I felt starving yesterday. I feel like parts of my life feel hopeless and dying. When in actual fact I have a pretty good life. Trust me to go with the underdog.
