Reiki Gatherings

Hi everyone, I'm Leslie, and I could use some help. I work in a

wellness center, and we've been overwhelmed by requests for Reiki

gatherings. I think it's mainly due to another wellness center in

the area closing. Lots of people looking for a place to gather, heal,

and learn and experience Reiki, which I'm excited about.

 

I'm not sure what to do for a gathering! I tend to imagine it will

take on a form of it's own, but I'd like to hear from others who

regularly hold or attend one.

 

I'm Reiki II level, and one of my office mates is a Master, but may

not be able to attend gatherings on a regular basis. Any feedback is

welcomed and appreciated.

Hi Leslie:

 

Most Reiki Circles I've been to or held involve a

reading, teaching or guided meditation (sometimes a

combination of more than one), followed by asking who

would like to experience healing. Those present who

practice Reiki then give it to those seated in a

circle who wish to receive Reiki. Refreshments may or

may not be served after the gathering.

Could someone please give me a good definition of Reiki healing? There

are so many references on this site---I am curious. Is it anything like

the laying on of hands?

Thank you Peggy, that's helpful, I don't know why I didn't think of

it myself! I also like the idea of the circle, too. I think it would

be very powerful for those who have never experienced it before. We

recently had an open house at my healing center, and there were lots

of people interested in Reiki gatherings, so I better get going!
