Help & Advice Please

Hi All,

 

I am a hypnotherapist that uses energy psychology, timeline therapy and NLP.

Any advise on hiring an secretary. I need someone to answer the phone and the

inevitable questions, mainly. I have looked into answering services. None

that I have found will do anything more then answer with a general script. I

am in the Orange County, California (the home of Disneyland).

 

Any advise or thoughts are welcome. I apologize the anyone that gets this

more then once because I am sending this to several lists.

Dear Morgan,

Although I have never hired a secretary, I know how difficult it can be to hire

just the right individual to compliment your practice. My dearest friend and her

husband have their own Chiropractic practice in San Clemente, CA ( not too far

from you, well the same county) and it has been a constant struggle.

From my point of view, there have been two factors that have contributed to

their situation:

1. The amount of compensation they offer - Orange County's cost of living

far exceeds the " minimum wage " set by law

2. The individuals hired have a " knowledge " of the field, but ut is not a

part of their way of life.

In your line of work, it will b e very very important that who you find to fill

the position has a good base knowledge of what it is you practice, not just what

you say, but a personal knowledge. I also believe that the individual MUST

appreciate and value the work that you do in order to effectively communicate

that to the clients that call you.

There are publications like " The Light Connection " which you may have heard of.

Parhaps you could place an advertisement in such a publication, one that

champions your field of practice, or place an add at your local whole foods

store, local metaphysical stores ( or talk to their owners) .

On a final note, may I ask where in Orange County are you located?
