GRA Conference- Summer 2002!

 

 

Dear Friends,

 

We are excited to announce that the Global Renaissance Alliance will be

holding our conference this summer in the Detroit, Michigan area. The

official date is July 19, 20 and 21.

 

This will be a gathering of people who are involved with and/or interested

in our work around Spiritual Activism. It will include exciting speakers

and discussions, Peace Circle training work, meditation/prayer, music and

most importantly celebration and connection with each other. As an

organization committed to building a network of spiritual activists, taking

the time to build and deepen the relationship within our network is one of

the most important things that we can do. Most of us already know how

powerful it is to gather in our own small circles, can you imagine how

powerful it will be to gather all together? We are also planning a

worldwide meditation for those who cannot make it- all of us meditating

together at the same time, all over the world.

 

Marianne Williamson (http://www.marianne.com ) will be speaking and

facilitating the weekend. Brian Swimme

(http://www.ciis.edu/faculty/swimme.html ) is a scheduled speaker at

Renaissance Unity (the conference center) and will be a part of our

weekend. His work focuses on the evolutionary dynamics of the universe,

the relationship between scientific cosmology and more traditional

religious visions, the cultural implications of the new evolutionary epic,

and the role of humanity in the unfolding story of Earth and cosmos. You
