Guest guest
lavendarrain77 submitted some URLs for forums about dream interpretation and sharing YOUR special gifts. Dave responded: " Spam is what your post is. " I have a different viewpoint, Dave. While those two forums don't happen to be MY hot buttons, over time, via such reference posts, I have found a number of forums that DO hit my hot buttons. Based on the orientation of this forum, my guess is that the forums Sheyla listed are of interest to some members of this forum. I'll give an example of this phenomenon via another forum I just recently discovered. At first glance, a person might wonder, " How does this forum relate, even in a tangential way, to BodyMind. So, I'll explain how I see a relationship. As it turns out, this forum also impacts every citizen in the USA and likely many other countries. A number of people interested in " bodymind " are also likely to be actively involved in helping other people improve their body/mind condition. What if you or I had a child who needed such a service? Let's say that such a child gave indications that he/she might shoot up his/her school. Perhaps some stuff he/she was taking into his/her body was adversely impacting the mind. What might INHIBIT people from offering help to such a child? One likely answer is fear of a lawsuit -- the fear that if the results didn't come out rosy that the practitioner would be blamed and then sued for not producing the desired results. Hence, from the site I'm going to cite ... ********************************************************************* Fear of litigation has undermined our freedom to make sensible decisions. Doctors, teachers, ministers, even little league coaches, find their daily decisions hampered by legal fear. Our system of justice, long America's greatest pride, is now considered a tool for extortion, not balance. What's missing is the essential idea of law. Law is supposed to set the boundaries of legal action, so that people know where they stand. Law should make us feel comfortable doing what's reasonable and nervous doing what's wrong. Today Americans are nervous doing almost anything. Common Good is calling upon judges and legislatures to take back the responsibility, abandoned in the 1960's, to draw the line on who can sue for what. What's right and wrong must be decided as a matter of law. To quote Oliver Wendell Holmes, the boundaries of lawsuits should not be " a matter dependent upon the whim of the particular jury or the eloquence of the particular advocate. " Society needs red lights and green lights. Today because anyone can sue for almost anything, Americans creep through the day, fearful of being blindsided. ********************************************************************* The information above is from the web site http://ourcommongood.com/index.html Rich Putman in Minnesota " No matter what a man's past may have been, his future is spotless.
