Guest guest
Hi, I agree with you - negative thoughts are mostly from conditioning and habits. People think nothing of going on and on about what's wrong, but if a very happy person walks around we are taken aback by it and say they're in denial! Why is 'denial' only reserved for people who don't look at the bad, isn't someone who is not looking at all the good 'in denial'? I think the best way to stop the negative thinking is to drop the scenes we play in our heads - scenes of old hurts, things we should have said differently, future anticipation of how something is going to go wrong. We tend to believe these scenes, and also believe what they tell us we need to do to change the situation we're unhappy about. Just drop the entire thing and see that there is now a void - a canvas that can be filled with anything we desire. That's when the fun begins! We get to paint it anyway we want it to be.
