Reiki, Cushings, and MRIs

I have a friend who has been dx'ed with Cushings. They are having

trouble finding the presumed tumor. (With Cushings you apparently want

to have a tumor, because if you do, it can be removed, and you get to

live longer.)

 

She's going to need some MRI's. She hates MRI's and remained wide awake

and terrified throughout the last one despite 40 mgs of Valium. (I

*hope* I got that number right - it was an amount they'd expected to

make her unconscious.)

 

She and I were hoping that if I were to give her Reiki during the next

MRI it might help take some of the edge off.

 

Has anyone here had any experience with anything like this? Any

suggestions?
