Guest guest
Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind, but I have a very specific problem that maybe someone can help me understand. I will definately go back and read previous posts, but in the meantime what can anyone tell me about the mind/body connection with regard to acne? I have tried all of the " remedies " I can find, both allopathic and natural/herbal/etc. Nothing really seems to help. I have done a lot of reading over the last few years, and very much believe in the power of our minds, and have in fact figured out many of my past " aches and pains " - but I seem to have a blind spot in this case. This has been an ongoing issue for many years, although the severity changes. I would love to find a medical intuitive or someone like that to give me some guidance, but don't know who to ask where I live. Any books, personal experience, - anything will help. I feel like I almost have too much information sometimes, and can't sort through it all. I am willing to do the work - I just can't figure out what it is. Thank you so much - hope everyone has a lovely day....E Oh- I am other wise very healthy (and lucky!)...no major illness' etc. - very thankful for that, but still confused...thanks!!! Skin problems are a complete pain in the a$$ to treat I'm afraid. Something will work, you've just got find out what it is. Try getting Chinese herbal medicine. It's generally quite expensive, if you get the herbs to boil instead of a lot of pills then it's generally disgusting (think boiled tar and smelly socks and you are only half way there. . .), but it works on chronic skin problems faster than anything else that I have ever seen in my life. Just make sure that the person you go and see is properly qualified and don't get 'special chinese herbs mix drink' from a pyramid seller or off the internet. Get someone who knows what they are talking about to treat YOU rather than just your ailment. I hope it works for you regards Rachel
Guest guest
- Dear E., Make sure that you are keeping your face clean with a mild soap. You need exfoliation, which you can accomplish with something as simple as a rough washcloth (they make special washcloths for this purpose also). Then use hydrogen peroxide on your face, taking time to hold your soaked pad against any specific bumps for a longer time. Add more greens to your diet. I have heard of good success by adding one of the pressed greens products that you can find at your health food store, such as Barleygreen, Green Magma, Greens +, ect. Watch other areas of your diet now also. You want to give your healthy cells the nutritional ammunition with which they can fight these little infections. Make certain that you are involving exercise in your regimine. With exercise your pores are given the opportunity to open and close, releasing some of the sebum that is becoming blocked in your pores. After exercising rinse your face with warm salt water (the purer the salt the better, about a teaspoon or so of salt to a bowl of water). Let me know how you do with this. Guest guest
hi, i suffered for many years with acne. periodically i would ask different dermatologists why i continued to have acne long after it was supposed to be gone. they just said " that's how it is sometimes " . to make a long story short, i saw an endocronologist for a completely different problem, and he diagnosed me as having too high a level of one of the adrenal gland hormones. (you would have thought dermatologists would be smart enough to know that this condition exists.) if you're " old " like me :-) you may want to get checked by an endocrinologist. then, once you know what you are dealing with, you can decide how you want to treat it. , " flowrpwrgrrl " <flowrpwrgrrl> wrote: > Hi everyone.
