Guest guest
Hello Everybody, As you know, the new thought teacher I read and relate to the most is Louise L. Hay. In her book " The Power is Within You " she talks about belief systems. About how we buy into certain belief systems. Most of the time these are not our belief systems. They belong to our famillies of origin, and we absorb these belief systems before the age of 5. (Just like Freud talked about.) I'm at the point where I'm releasing my old, outdated belief systems that never really belonged to me, and I'm working on forming my own, new belief systems. Beliefs about myself and the world that are nourishing and positive. I'm working on forming a very detailed description of who is this inside me that I've always wanted to become? Who is she? How does she live her life? How will I become her? I'm at a point right now, where I like where my head is. But, I don't like where I'm at otherwise. I'm feeling very tired physically, a worn out feeling. I'm rather emotional right at the moment. Today has been a rough day for me, because of my moods, and physical state. I have not yet been able to shake these feelings. I'm feeling rather overwhelmed. But, my head is quite clear, I'm doing well with my journal, and I'm feeling positive about all the personal growth I'm experiencing. My question is. Do you ever feel that personal growth spurts are draining of physical energy? Is there something I can do to prevent physical fatigue? Perhaps an affirmation? I was thinking I should do an affirmation about how all this growth is energizing and nourishing. Also, I'd just like to know I'm not alone. Do you guys ever run into down cycles, where you're happy with the work you're doing, progress you're making, but you're tired and maybe not getting as much other stuff done as you'd like? Thanks! Guest guest
Hello! I know it might sound cliched, but as much as we focus on the mind effecting our body in the mind/body connection, it is also worth remmebering how the body too can impact on our mind. While you have mentally prepared yourself and let go of old negative beliefs, it is important to nuture your body just as closely. Affirmations etc. may all help, but again you are working on your mind, where I suspect close attention directly to your body may be more immediatley beneficial. Make sure you are eating lots of organic whole foods - fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, grains and seeds - and if you are not a vegetarian, fresh fish (especially oily fish like salmon, tuna, mackerel) and lean meat. Your body will be replicating the " mental detoxification " you have been through, and may need help to release these physically from the body. You may wish to try a detoxification process to help things along. I personally find these can be quite invigorating, and bring about profound change and realisation in themselves! You could also try brushing your body with a dry brush before a shower to help the lymphatic system release toxins into the blood and get them out of the body. Make sure you drink lots of fresh pure water. It may also be helpful to visit a sauna or steam room and literally feel those bad energies leach out of your body. Excerise that works up a mild sweat is also good - particularly as the deep breathing will help revive you on many levels. I hope you find this useful - and remember self care is always the first step in caring for others! May your energy come back threefold into the newly refreshed house of your spirit! :-) ooo (hugs are great for enrgy too - get as many as you can!!!) Guest guest
I have experienced the same thing, so do not think you are alone. I help -and have helped many people. On occassion, I often find that I have given 'too much of my own self and energy'. I learned to only give of the over-flow, however I still make the same mistake, as others 'emergencies' often drain me, even though I know better. It is a learning process that I am experiencing. As I examine my behavior, I learn from every experience. I notice that I must rest or sleep --instead of' allowing myself to become more depressed. I 'recognize' that stress and depression after about a few hours, and then examine what has been going on in my life within the past week or so. I learn from it and then must 'rest'. If I don't, I will stay in that depression. After resting, even mid day, I re-coup quickly! I feel fresh, and refreshed. Naps are truly helpful. Doctors used to say, " kick your feet up, and take it easy for a day or two and you will be just fine " . We have lost this ability since we are so fast paced, in this society. Carry a small battery operated alarm clock, and catch a nap at lunchtime in your car if necessary. But find the rest that your body is requesting.
