LOVING ANGELS

 

I once read a beautiful story about little angels who were in heaven and who

wanted to show God how much they loved him--but it was difficult because every

other angel loved him just as much, and their whole day was spent in praise

and in rejoicing so they could not feel different or special in the way they

showed love to God.

 

An archangel heard about their dilemma and offered a very special experience.

They were told that they could become humans and have " problems " and have

bodies that would be vulnerable, and they could have families who love them and

who challenge and hurt them.

 

But, by remaining in touch with heaven through their prayers and meditations

and by blessing every one in their lives even if they seemed to be hurting

them, they would prove that they really did love God and would never allow

themselves to become separated from Him in reality.

 

The little angels asked where the families and bodies would come from and

were told that they only had to imagine having the body and it would be granted,

and that the families would be provided by other angels who would agree to

come along and agree to be difficult and be challenging; by overcoming the

difficulties and by remaining spiritual and loving they could prove to God that

they loved him above everything else.

 

They agreed and then they were warned: " You will not have any memory of our

agreement, except that you will be able to remember that every person who

challenges you and causes you pain is still an angel who is doing you a favour,

so

you can learn and grow from it and prove your love for God.

 

This will be a difficult memory to retain, but it is possible. " " Don't begin

to believe that they really want to hurt you--the only reason they are there

is because you have asked to have a special angel to help you come back to

heaven, for if you forget or if you fail to remain spiritual you could get stuck

in a body for a long time until you do remember. "

 

All of the angels agreed to those terms and came to earth to prove their love

for God by staying loving and spiritual in spite of apparent problems and

they all promised to remember that every other person in their life was really

an

angel in disguise who was here to help them.

 

Is it possible for you to see the angel in disguise in the people who have

hurt you?
