BEING " DEAD EVEN " IS NOT EVEN! -- WHAT ARE OUR INNER POLLSTERS TELLING US?

 

It seems that after the recent Democratic Convention, nothing much changed in

the voter polls. The various USA political polls reveal " a Nation divided "

-- a " dead heat " between political parties. The electorate is currently

leaning half one way and half the other, with a small group that is undecided.

That's the way it is in our inner awareness, too, is it not? We have the

thought

party of the worldly thinking that judges by outer appearances. And we have

the thought party of the Spiritual platform that has " overcome " the world and

judges not by appearances.

 

Just as the electorate has pretty much " made up their minds " so have most of

us in our daily living. In Divine Metaphysics, of course, it has nothing to

do with political platforms, and everything to do with our consciousness. The

worldly platform stands for judgement, limitation and duality thinking, fear,

un-forgiveness, maintaining old habits. We judge by outer appearances. The

Truth platform stands for right judgement (perceptions), realization of

abundance through Grace and the perfect provision of Providence, love that

overcomes

fear, the practice of forgiveness, and rising above old limitation habits.

 

The " undecided " factor represents the Divine impulse in each moment that can

" sway the vote " or " tip the scales " and determine the final outcome. The

Divine Ideas as thoughts embodying God qualities become the " swing voters. " In

Mysteries, Nona Brooks wrote: " There are two phases in our daily experiences --

an outer aspect and an inner reality. Let us turn our thought to that

Something within, and begin to solve the problems of our human relationships

from

this basis. What is that Something within? It is the truth of the Omnipresence

of God. It is what Paul taught us -- that we live, move, and have our being

in God-Being. There is one God above us, in us, and through us. The psalmist

tells us that we cannot flee from the presence of God. Whither shall we go?

It is this Presence and Power that inspires us in all our expression -- be it

in our relationships or in our work. Are we considering this point carefully

enough? "

 

The Sufi poet Rumi wrote: " If you want peace and purity, tear away the

coverings! This is the purpose of emotion, to let a streaming beauty flow

through

you. Call it spirit, elixir, or the original agreement between yourself and

God. Opening into that gives peace, a song of being empty, pure silence. " The

outer pollsters can be tricksters! In the " pure silence " of our inner thought

poll, we have Free Will to determine our outcome. We each have the ultimate

inner vote, enfranchised by God!
