Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Would anyone here have knowledge about the Taoist manner of breathing in Qi Gong, where one tightens the abdomin during inhalation, and pushes it out during exhalation - the opposite of other techniques I have learned for instance in yoga and deep meditation. My experience is that this way of breathing keeps the energy in the body, rather than its spreading out quickly to the aura. I find it very interesting to compare the effects of the two kinds of breathing, though as a pure beginner at Qi Gong. I was wondering if anyone else has compared the two. In hope of a response - namaste Anna
Guest guest
Hello Alpenanna, I have gone through your note which is very interesting. If u want to know the Taoist breathing pattern then u must go through the masterpiece of Mantak Chia's " Awaken healing energy through the Tao " . The Qi Gong method of inhalation and exhalation is the same as u have explained in your note but from my practical experience, i have reached on this conclusion that it would work much efficiently if u squeeze your stomach during inhalation and exhalation both. It is necessary to make the air pointed so that it could reach at the coccyx level where all the inhaled electrons of oxygen atom are deposited. Finally u hold the air, contract your anus sphincter tightly and squeeze your stomach. After retaining the air, when u exhale, your stomach must be squeezed and anus sphincter tightly contracted. In this way all the deposited electrons will begin to jiggle and they would radiate cosmic energy which u can direct in any way either for self healing or for others healing. The same method would equally be applicable in distant healing also and it shall heal your body too. Though i dont want to refer my own site on this issue but after knowing your eagerness i would like to refer my own site to visit where u would compare the Tao method of breathing and the Indian method of breathing. The url of my site is -- www.microcosmicforces.com --. I hope that u would be satisfied with the techniques, explained in my site. Guest guest
Thank you, Ramesh Chandra, for your response. I am looking forward to reading the articles on your website. I have been thinking, indeed, that the exhalation should not be relaxing, that there is tension also in the outward motion, that this tension holds the energy. Also, that it's probably not a matter of how far inward the abdomin is taken or pushed out, but a matter of maintaining a constant tension. I am now trying the small circulation of qi, and, as it is described, the tip of the tongue should be touching the palette, and released when the energy returns to the mouth. I do not know if I should draw the tip of the tongue back into the mouth, ie, touching the soft palette, as sometimes in yoga, or tip it up behind my teeth. Do you know? I also have a picture shoing the energy going up to the back of the head, and then over the ears to the nose and mouth, excluding the upper chacra. I have tried this and while it feels odd, it works. Today though I tried though circulating the energy up over the top of my head, and, boom, I was over-stimulated in my upper-chacra, ie, it was hard to get the energy to go downward again. Should the upper chacra be excluded in primary exercises? I hope you don't mind these explicit questions. Perhaps you answer them in your articles, and if so, I will find the answers there. Finally, thank you for the book recommendation! Alpenanna , ramesh chandra <chandra_ramesh2002> wrote: > > Hello Alpenanna, > I have gone through your note which is very interesting. Guest guest
Hello Alpenanna, Thanks for your mail. As i hope u r pracitising Tao method of Healing. It is equally effective. The methods are different and all the way leads to the same goal. Which way is nearer to the goal is the matter to examine. This i have produced in my own web site which u might have gone through. As u know, if u have visited my site, my way is pruely scientific and it doen not follow any rule but it is self located way of perfection. Kindly visit the site -- www.microcosmicforces.com -- . again and u would be convinced with my thoughts. So far as u have asked about the position of toungue, it would touch your soft palate which would close down the way of nostril and turn down the outgoing breath on your front portion of your body. When the cosmic energy would rise up then it shall be accumulated on your crown centre. When u began to feel heaviness on your crown centre then immediately change your concentration to the third eye centre. In this way the heaviness of accumuated energy at the crown cnetre would subside and the breath shall follow the downward trend i.e. in front of your body. Kindly note the basic key of healing - Energy follows thought. change your thought and the energy shall follow your thought. This is the basis of distant healing.
