Dear Christina,

I feel quite conflicted and also intrigued by what you say. Do you

know that in many schools of Eastern paths, paths that are 1,000s of

years old, they maintain that the desire to do healing work is a

distraction from the deeper inward path?

On the other hand, getting older now and fairly convinced that

enlightenment is not on the program this lifetime, I feel it would be

nice to share some upliftment and healing work with others. I would

never say though that if a thing learned can't be turned to healing

that it is worth nothing. Do you really think this?

Hi Anna: I do think that first we must heal and purify ourselves. Then

afterwards, we may wish to offer assistance to others. It is in giving to

others (as teachers, nurses, doctors, healers, educators, friends) that we

grow ourselves. Once we gain insight, information, power or strength ......

one of the kindest things you can do, is to share it wish others. We live

in a Global environment, we are all connected. Lifting up your fellow man,

assists you on your journey as well.

Each of us has a few special gifts. Can you imagine how consciousness

raising it would be, if we all but shared more frequently? My point was

that knowledge that one has, can be magnified and enhanced greatly, when

shared. The world is a circle.

Hello anna,

Kindly refer to your mail adressed to Christina. I dont agree with your thought

that the eastern system maintains that a desire of healing work is a distraction

from the deeper inward path. From my point of view healing work cleanse your

inner self and intact your cosmic energy which u can use either for self or for

others healing.

I would like to share the healing work with u. I am not of the opinion that if

a thing learned cant be turned to healing. After learning correct and effective

techniqes of healing u could heal to anyone and yourself too.

Hello Christina,

It is your good note that first of all every healer should heal himself,

before chanelling the cosmic energy for others to heal. Thanks for your valuable

message.

I think it depends on one's goal, and perhaps more closely, to one's

karma. Sharing before we are really mature enough can cause problems,

and who is to know this about themselves? Still, I was at a conference

on healing recently -- our local psychiatric clinic is using spiritual

healers as well -- and the lecturer wisely said that we heal to heal

ourselves. I write this thread, of course, in line with my need to

establish a framework in which overt healing is ok (I do a lot of

non-overt healing anyway :-) ).

Thank you for responding.
