For the variety of signs signaling a Kundalini awakening, see the

following URL:

http://members.aol.com/ckress/symptoms.html

I just set my membership to " nomail " because I'm going out of town for

the next 10 days and need to set an auto responder to my email.

If you still have questions on the 18th or thereafter, please post

again. I can probably answer most of your questions.

Enjoy...

I'm well aware of the information on the Internet regarding Kundalini,

and have seen this particular website more than once. I am asking for

personal opinions and experiences in an attempt to understand the

phenomenom and my own experiences a bit better.

Dear accrocheuse1,

Sai Ram. That is a greeting, a mantra and also a blessing. I would like to

respond to your query regarding the experience being the same or different to

different people.

I would like to give you a couple of analogies. The same light projected

through a running film, projects different images on to the screen. The same

sounds and smells evoke different images and memories in different people.

Similarly, kundalini rising through the different chakras gives experiences to

different people who interpret the rising awareness differently. The ego part of

the mind is the filter which filters the sensation and the conditioning of the

egoistic part of the mind determines what and how the experience is perceived

as.

The very sense of differentiation from other people, objects etc. arises from

the limited perception of the mind. This is my perception and it could be

different from the perceptions offered by other members of this group and your

own perceptions.

With best wishes,

C'mon Ramesh Chandraji,

you don't have to be so dismissive of Ac's (accrocheuse) question!

He is not able to understand you that is why he is venturing out to

ask you the question.. maybe he is in a lower state of

(enlightenment.. whatever) or his energy of (kundalini.. or

whatever) is low.. or maybe he just does not plainly understand.. so

what!?

we ALL go thru these states! YOU too, your highness! so please do

unto others what you would like others to do unto you! (confucius

sayeth.. ) All this kundalini stuff is fine & good, but we should

not forget our civilities.

Cooldude

Several of us on the list have had Kundalini awakenings, but I'm

wondering about your " flow for 17 years. " Are you saying that you have

been constantly aware of the Kundalini flowing for that length of time?

No the Kundalini at the earliest stages was a strange and unknown

experience for me. I had some very unfortunate experiences with it as

I did not know what it was or what was transpiring. Only after a

series of these events did the egotistical shell begin to buckle and

allow for a new format of information to be recieved. This is when

the " Flow " began to assert itself into my comprehension. It has been

this way for about ten years.

Since then the awareness of the Kundalini flowing through the body has

been physically palpable and never ceasing. - blessings and thank you

for your response. - chrism

The Flow of Kundalini, for me, is like an expansion of the spine

and other conduits from the inside out. Feels like a super

pressurized water hose that pulses and radiates. Sometimes balls

would be felt starting at the base of the spine and moving upwards

until at the top of the head a kind of soft explosion would occur

and in these moments the sensations were very, very, pleasant. These

balls happened in the early part of the experience.

The flow now is constant and I have become, well, it has become a

normal way for me to feel. I have expansion inside the spine and at

the top of the head and down to the space above and between the

eyebrows, The expansion is also felt throughout the body ie arms

legs face and, every where really.

The top of the head is an expanded version of the picture for this

group, number seven, but feels like it stretches much farther out,

but like the picture it does connect at the temples. This is what

attracted me to this group.

There are many more symptoms but I do not know the social dynamics

here yet so I will stop here. Thank you for your response -

Dear Sh. SunderKaur,

I write this not to ask you about the 'tea'. I want to know more

about " Kundalini " Yoga & Spirit. What is after all the 'Kundalini " ?

I understand that it is nothing but our " life-ergy " itself. I hope

you will agree. But I do not know how to manifest it. Could you

please enlighten me in the matter? Thanku in advance!

Dear Shri Lakshmanan,

Sai Ram. Reiki is one way of activating the Kundalini. Sri Chakra

meditation and Puja is another way (Pl. read Sri Lalitha Sahasranama

Stotra where The Divine Mother's various aspects of chakras are

specified). There are several Gurus and Sri Vidya Upasakas who can

initiate you if you are interested. Sai Ram.

Hello,

Thanks for your response about kundalini yoga! It really is an

amazing form of yoga. I've experienced the most changes in my life

from practicing this particular style, though other methods are

great, too.

And yes, to answer your question, it's a terrific way to generate

more life force or prana in one's body, mind and spirit.

I'll be posting some short kriyas (which is another word for a

particular set of exercises) within this group and also on my site.

You can do just a couple of minutes of this particular style and feel

the peace and bliss in your body and do a lot of healing as well. It

works that fast and is that powerful.

If you'd like to learn more about it for now, feel free to go to:

I have a personal experience with Kundalini I can tell you about. When I

was 17 I was listening to music and noticed my thoughts wandering instead of

listening to the music itself. I decided to try to concentrate only on the

music. Soon my back began to arch spontaneously whereupon I felt my

consciousness merge with the music. At this moment I felt a a sort of

liquid white light shoot up my spine and explode in the center of my brain.

The explosion seemed to go to infinity like a supernova. There was no pain

associated with this experience. When I opened my eyes it was all the same

except I could " see " what I had only looked at before, and " hear " what I had

only listened to. That's the only way I can describe it. Tremendous energy

was radiating from my heart area and the palms of my hands and I felt

complete love, understanding, and compassion. I intuitively understood how

and why everything was the way it was. My eyes were " soft " . I can tell you

my main realization was that, no matter what we believe ordinarily,

everything is perfect as it is in this moment. This state lasted for about

9 hours and I was able to repeat it a week later by doing what I had done

before. However, the second time was not as intense nor did it last as

long. At the time this happened I had no idea what it was but later found

out is was kundalini.

I am 55 now and have not experienced this again although I have had some

similar experiences. The experience did change my life although in some

ways not for the better. It is frustrating to know how things can be and

not be able to be there. I've read a lot about kundalini since and could

talk about what it is technically but I felt a first hand experience might

be more valuable to you. I will say as a caution that there are many

reports of people raising kundalini that have very negative experiences. My

experience happened by accident or grace or whatever you want to call it but

if you force it you can have a lot of trouble apparently. Gopi Krishna has

written some good books on the subject having had both the bad and good side

of kundalini.

Finally, I think kundalini is a wonderful peak experience to have, but also

very elusive. You could spend your whole life, as many do, trying to find

this and fail. More importantly, if you are looking for enlightenment you

only have to realize who you really are. You are already enlightened and

don't need to search after extraordinary experiences. Rather just find your

true self. It's in there.
