When one grounds, it is the act of expelling any excess energy and sending it back to the source. Basically this is another form of meditation, and it can be done without doing a centering first. An example of this would be to enhance the ability to focus on a task, or to help one remove any stress during a stressful situation Centering: The act of meditation. When one centers, they focus one clearing any negative thoughts, and/or feelings from themselves and concentrating on raising energy, not only within themselves, but if the centering exercise is done in a group, then within the group's space.
