Guest guest
Joel, I understand what you are saying about the mind and body not being separate. Living with a chronic disability (for 22 years) has made me aware of the connections. I have learned to focus my direction elsewhere to reduce my awareness of pain and I have learned to vary then types of activities I engage in many times during the day so that I can maintain enough awareness and energy. Regarding acupuncture, it reduced my pain minimally and for very short periods, but was a very unpleasant experience since the needles were painful and sometimes triggered neurologic symptoms such as spasms, twitching, and numbness. The acupuncturist and I agreed that it was a net loss. I try to look on this all as a journey and as a learning experience. But I am going through a rough stretch these days. --- Joe ---

Guest guest
Yoga helps me. Also, facing the thoughts directly and talking it out to myself. , " snowdrift52003 " <snowdrift52003 wrote: > > Daily meditation has helped me more than anything. > > Sierra > > , " one_broad " <one_broad@> wrote: > > > > I had a rough night Tuesday night and fell into a negative rut all > > yesterday.
