Guest guest
My husband is unemployed and depressed and has been difficult to be around. He won't admit that he is depressed, but there is a dark cloud above his head and he has been grouchy and critical of me (not like him at all). We usually take a family vacation in the winter but planned to forego that this year because of finances. But today the idea came to me to ask a friend to go on a trip. Mexico! Sea and sun...ahhh! I e-mailed her from work and will probably have an answer waiting tomorrow morning. I feel a lightness in my spirit about this; a trip (even a short, inexpensive one) would really be good for me. Thinking of going without my family also feels good--I am aware of a stronger sense of self and independence. I hope my friend will want to go! Please send good thoughts my way. Guest guest
That sounds great, Why don't you convince your husband that his job situation was God's way of telling him to take a holiday and go with him. It will raise both of your spirits and he will not think you are running out on him just because times are a little rough. That may put a spark back in your marriage.
