I felt that if carts are really an indicator reversing the process should be an indicator that there is something to astrology. > As an aside, my parents must not > have been uber intuitive, because > they had not chosen a girl's name, > only a boy's name :-p Or it could be like my mother when the doctor told her that she was going to have a big boy and it turned out to be twin girls. We tend to be influenced by others and our society. For example I was born ambidextrous. I would start with the pencil in my right hand going left to right until I reached the end of the line. Then I would switch to my left had writing right to left in mirror writing. This was quickly stopped. Now I am right handed. Society expects people to be right handed. For example in Latin right is " dexter " as in dexterous and left is " sinister " . I think many people have the talent to feel things like pain but it is weeded out of us. Especially sensitive people formally became shamans and healers. Welcome for their talents but generally semi-outcasts. I believe that movements like massage licensing are to create a consistent image of a massage therapist that fits into society. Weirdoes like us are unacceptable. They could have written the laws to accept differences in bodywork but that is not what they want. It is a tyranny of the majority. Energy workers are in-between. Popular enough that they are allowed to practice some times by looking the other way but we sometimes have to work under the mantle of energy work to do what we do. The other reason that I believe that more people can work this way is that for most people it is not just my perceiving pain, emotion etc. but actually communicating to people through touch in ways that their minds don't understand. A number of people can even sense this two way communication. We don't even have a term for what we do. I have taken to calling myself a " muscle whisperer " .
