I remember posts on this. > I tried doing an > internet search on this and it certainly gave me tons of info but all > established allopathic approaches. Are you using Google? I do an advanced search on Google for things like this. In this case I would enter sickle cell TCM. I also would do a separate search entering sickle cell . You might also want to do a search on the acuuncture.com website for sickle. Victoria
Guest guest
Its a complicated situation as it is a genetic disorder-disease. The little I have seen is that yes Chinese medicine has a lot of potential to treat it to an acceptable level less pain and maybe even less synthetic medication. I would really consider after disease diagnoses and pattern identification to work mainly with type of Qi Gung and home treatments. What does the tongue look like. Often there is purplish tongue and many other symptoms of blood stasis. It is a problem with the red blood cell and at times people have had successfully bone marrow transplant but as always there are complications. Blood transfusions are common, it is important that the person does not dehydrate but at the same time not drink to much fluids as the kidney system East - West tend to be compromise. Presumably this person has his western doctor and or care, however from TCM perspective it is possible the person suffer from essence vacuity cold (Yang qi is often affected) and blood vacuity with severe blood stagnation. Maybe you could explain a bit from a western view point and then more specific form Chinese medicine approach and others can maybe contribute more specifically. I sincerely hope you look upon it as a long tem treatment and also what the person can do in their time. Best of luck. And, I would like to know how you are doing and how the person is doing so if you can please send either the list and or me directly a mail. Guest guest
Siberian Ginseng for starters. Hi, On its own? Is the tongue purple? Is the person thin? what about mu dan pi? Does the person do any qi kung? a hairdryer and alcohol applied topically i.e. first apply alcohol (any clear vodka or rice vine...) this warms the channels and also the muscles... I am still very interested in how the person is doing and would love to know more...
