Guest guest
Wow it's great to see all the great posts that many of us have in common or have forgotten till mentioned! I love the smell of Sea & Ski suntan lotion...my all time favorite flowers...Lilacs are out..have a beautiful vase and their aroma is the first I notice when I walk into the house... Other smells...the smell of horse stables - the " horsey " smell I would walk around in after riding, and enjoy the " smell " as everyone else complained... ) Fresh cut grass is still a favorite...the beach.. the soft smell after a spring rain...I shouldn't admit this, but even as a kid I loved the smell of gasoline when my dad pumped it at the gas stationm as we filled up before an outing...still do! The smell of the woods and the " smokey " smell of an outside campfire...guess I could go on...but will take a break... Katy
Guest guest
All these wonderful things that mean so much to each of us are all similar even though they are different memories for each. The similarity is that these are pleasant memories that stimulate the secretion of positive neuro peptides when we run these memories, and those positive neruo peptides induce healing and well being. The NLP people call them anchors. The memory of the experience is anchored to this good feeling and vice versa. Here's a trick we can add from energy medicine: When running the memory, tap one finger right between the eyes in the innermost join of the brow and nose. Now we'll add some NLP to the mix, so while tapping, intensify all the sensory modalities of the memory. Increase the color, enrich the sound, make it brighter, BIGGER, louder, in 3D, and dazzling with energy . Tap again. Now we've anchored this positive memory to the physical tap in a location where it energizes all meridians. When down or blue, just tap this memory back and give yourself some positive neuro peptides. Deepak has some enlightening things to say about neuro peptides in this talk at the Seattle Center. http://www.ascension-research.org/reality.html rusty
