Guest guest
Hi Carl, I am a massage therapist, Structural Integration Practitioner, Thai, Cranial Person+ other modalities. Â In addition to this, Â I went to the Barbara Brennan School of Healing for 4 years, her teaching and Supervisor Training for another four. Â I think the Snow Lion is based on her work. Â The school is located in Miami, Florida. Â I supervise students in their process and love the work. Â It is a very special school. I bet most massage therapists have a pretty good Higher Sense perception using touch as intimately as they do. Â But it is interesting because each person is unique and they use various forms of " reading of the field " depending on how they are organized. Â I know that Barbara and some people can use their sight to see if someone has cancer or other abnormalities. Â Others feel inside their own body what others feel. Â Often I hear my guides talk to me, or people who have passed over. Â At the Barbara Brennan School, Â in order to graduate, one must be able to read the energy using at least two senses. Â And anybody can learn. Â For some people it is easier depending how they have organized their system, others more difficult, Â but energy work can be learned by anyone. I don't know that anyone can " teach " you the answers. Â What we learned was to be with people in the moment, and to follow our own wave and stay centered, while witnessing and holding space for our clients. Â Sometimes we will directl y work with the meridians, or the chakras and such, Â but the most important thing that I found is to trust the process and let the person unfold rather than telling them something you " see " . Â It is more important to find one's own truth if real change is going to happen. Â Whether we do massage, energy work, psychic, acupuncture, Hakomi or whatever, Â they are only tools to help us open our awareness to our connection to the one God, Â or whatever you want to call the universal Oneness. I wish you the best and you are opening your mind to something bigger than the reality most people live in. Â We are so much more than we can possible imagine! I have found that the most important part for me is to acknowledge the possibility of a thing. I have dabbled in various energy techniques not wanting to get too deep into the formal part becasue like standardize physical work it puts you into a mindset of following a prescribed methodology to help some one. This means that you are treating the measurements=2 0not the person. I find that energy can be directed like manual therapy and can also be contra indicated. A number of years ago I came across a person who was being treated but stimulating acupressure points that increased is heat yet just looking at the person he already had too much heat. I realize that there are contraindications to energy work as well. If you can effect a change the change can be either helpful or harmful. I try to work both physically and energetically using the person's own body and energy where possible. Getting the person to heal themselves is the best cure possible. This puts you in a different relationship with the client as one of equals not a healer / patient. I use direct right-brain perception to " see " the person in ways too complex for my left-brain (rational) to understand. Then I use may left-brain to insure that my intuitive side is not suggesting something that may be harmful. From this perspective I will often intervene with left-brain physical & energetic tools when needed to help the person overcome certain obstacles with in a framework on an intentional directive to improve the person's state of wellness. I know nothing about SnowLion Integrative Energy Healing. However, I am Leary of people who offer to teach you the answers. Instead I look for people who can help you find the questions and find your own answers. Guest guest
Sharon, > I bet most massage therapists have a pretty good > Higher Sense perception using touch as intimately > as they do. I think that people in this field find that there are too many things they observe that can not be scientifically explained. Before I ignored the hints I got and felt that everything could be explained scientifically and that thing that we did not understand would come clear one day as science developed. I ignored signs even when nature slapped me up side of the head. I was too into science when in 1964 under the orders of a very intuitive doctor I did my first massage to save a hemorrhaging woman's life. I could feel " emotions " in the tissues but rejected the notion becasue it made no sense. > But it is interesting because each person is > unique and they use various forms of " reading > of the field " depending on how they are organized. I see energy systems as a way that many people use to simplify and systematize perceptions that go beyond the limitations of rational thought and for each of us they translate into our awareness differently. I believe that like the expression " Time is natures way of keeping everything from happing at once. " our reality is actually a filter to limit our perception of the universe to what we can handle. > Others feel inside their own body what others feel. I feel what others do but I keep the perception of it in their body not mine. I also feel and direct energy. Where possible I try to use the client's energy rather that my own. I find that energy can be intrusive and after all the best healing is what the client does for him/her self. I also do a lot of hospice work and not taking on the other person's pain is important while it allows me to share in the joy of helping people live the end of their life to the fullest. > For some people it is easier depending how they have > organized their system, others more difficult, but > energy work can be learned by anyone. I find systems can be hobbling. It is left brain controlled and has the same problems as all atomistic thinking does. I find that to operate holistically I must purge myself of preconceptions. If I am getting nowhere it is often becasue I think I know how to proceed. If I leave myself open that the answer will flow. > ... the most important thing that I found is to trust > the process and let the person unfold rather than > telling them something you " see " . Sometimes it has to slap me upside of the head to get me to pay attention. Sometimes fate plays a part. In all case it is paying attention and recognizing the possibilities of things beyond imagination. In the late 60's I use to be an Acid trip guide. I took a bad cut and got about 4000 micrograms. It was an experience that I would not recommend to anyone. Had I not helped other deal in the world of altered reality I don't think I would have survived the experience still sane. It stripped away reality so there was no time space or the perception of self. I was directly seeing the Void. It was the potential of everything without being limited to the manifestation of everything. I now see it was showing me that I could reach around reality and shake hands on the other side.
