Guest guest
rose, if you don't live in earthquake territory you live in hurricane or tornado territory or various other types of natural occurences. i don't think these things are some " message " from someone saying don't live there. i don't want to live my life and base my needs around these kinds of things, i would be moving all over the place running from it, and i could just as easily and more likely suffer some other smaller and more individual disaster like getting hit by a bus. there is safety and perparedness and there is paranoia. i am a massage therapist living someplace where natural healthcare is prominent and there is lots of education and likeminded people easily accessible. i am surrounded by profound beauty of two mountain ranges, many lakes and rivers, saltwater, islands, etc. which is also very important to me. it weighs out at a higher benefit to me than moving someplace with the illusion of safety. i don't think there is some higher being that cares what part of rock we live on, we just have to decide what we are willing to accept along with the things that are important to us. i am lucky to live in a place where the kind of discussions that happen on this list are commonplace in everyday life. my point in telling that story to begin with was relevant to enduring through scary things, and trusting that however it turns out something useful will come of it and the support you need will be there somehow. the point was also not letting fear dictate decisions and keep you from listening to your soul. the point was not me taking ridiculous life threatening risk for some cheap thrill. the point was not the earthquake, that was just the biggest obvious and somewhat humorous context to illustrate what i wanted to share. ~kimberlee > I MUST reply! > I would not live in earthquake territory!
