Guest guest
Hi Trina, The warrior pose is quite dynamic and burns a lot of energy to sustain it. This will increase heart rate and blood pressure. I notice your systolic or background blood pressure hasn't raised all that much so this is not a concern. As you continue the pose and get used to it, your body will not respond in such a dramatic way. The pose speaks for itself.; in that it is preparing you to face the world and fight your fears. This is of course what anxiety is about. It might be good to find a yoga teacher to help you with the poses and to help you set an appropriate pace. Good luck in finding a group. Guest guest
Yoga like any exercise will increase both heart rate and blood pressure. The shaking is a very good thing! It means the pent up, stuck energy that is stored in those shaking muscles of the body is being released. The dizziness and floating can be two things: 1. You are forgetting to breathe and exhausting your body (which usually accompanies bouts of anxiety), or 2. it is a release of some of the worries, fears, and doubts you have swirling about within you. Often when we realign our bodies energy structures it doesn't feel right because we've been out of balance for so long. Releasing the old energy may cause us to feel off balance or dizzy. The floating feeling could be the absorption of the new balanced energy integrating into your body. As long as you remember to breathe, breathe, breathe you are on the right track! Here's a few very good acupressure points which will help you too. Lots of love and many blessings, Kat http://holisticonline.biz/Remedies/Depression/dep_acupressure.htm , " lightning_chaser83 " <trina83 wrote: > > Hi to all, > > I have a question......I'm fairly new to yoga, took a course a year > ago for six weeks and want to join another group. > > I've recently been under a lot of stress, and told I have an anxiety > disorder.
