[ADMIN] Regarding Off Topic and Ads

Hello All:

 

It seems that periodically I have to do this, so here goes. The list

has been relatively quiet, threadwise, and I think that is what may

attract spam, and the concept that one may spam the list with ads.

 

This group is not to be used as an advertising platform. Any and all

ads, for products, services, classes or conferences MUST BE

PREAPPROVED by me, the moderator, by contacting me OFFLIST at

-owner and asking permission. Generally I ban

anyone who breaks this simple rule, as it is easier than arguing.

Really. So please do not use the membership here as your personal

list of addresses to spam; it is extraordinarily rude, bad

netiquette, and might even get you reported to your ISP.

 

Any questions about this policy should be addressed, once again,

offlist, to the owner address. I apologise to the membership that you

have had to deal with the spam that has come from people I trusted to

be in the group with you.
