According to Dr. Barry Sears, originator of The Zone, in his new

book " The Omega RX Zone, " " high-dose pharmaceutical-grade fish oil is

as close to a medical miracle as we will see in the 21st century. "

Researchers around the world have been experimenting succesfully with

omega-3 fatty acids in the form of fish oil for helping with a

variety of diseaes, including asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, heart

diease, arthritis, Crohn's, depression, ADD/ADHD, Alzheimer's,

cancer, and many more.

Unfortunately, many of the forms of fish oil sold in drug stores and

health food stores have a relatively low concentration of EPA and DHA

(the main substances important for health) in relation to saturated

fat and arachidonic acid (which most of us already have too much of)

and have too much mercury (the standards are not set very high) and

other toxins for safe habitual use in the dosages (5 to 25 grams a

day) necessary to help with most diseases.

In his book, Sears talks about the different dossages required for

many diseases, recommends blood tests to take to monitor the effects

of the fish oil, and also talks about the importance of insulin

control in battling many diseases.
